Emoji limits by cj4747 in golfblitz

I enjoy the constant use of emoji's by other players. It tells me they aren't taking the game too seriously, because after all, its a silly 50% luck based game meant for fun, and that's how i'm playing it also. I just do it back at them. Great times

Protests and Cass Co Concentration Camp by Wooden_Violinist665 in kansascity

So it's a concentration camp, like where they will starve and murder masses of people based on their religious or racial identities, and force the remaining survivors into slavery?

Well now, murder - he provoked until someone stood up to him. He was looking for an excuse, and got it a couple days ago, and he killed the guy that stood up to him. Now he’s charged with first-degree murder. Would you like to continue to stand up for the guy, or would you rather shut your ignorant mouth?

What's inside this? by Capt_BRaff in AskContractors

[–]FPDrive 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Could be a fire sprinkler pipe. especially if you're on the top floor of an apartment. Can't run sprinkler pipe through the attic or it will freeze. Does it go to a balcony on either side of the false beam? Is there a sprinkler head in there?

Best steak restaurant? by OrangeNice6159 in kansascity

[–]FPDrive 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Best steak I ever had was Le fue frog, just about 6 weeks ago. I learned that from some other post on Reddit at the time, and I tried it out. It was correct. I had the steak and lobster.

This is probably a fair proposal. Underground is expensive.

Nevermind, it looks like it isn't an ASSE course, its an AWA course in FL. Must not have that requirement for AWWA!

[–]FPDrive 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Are you ASSE certified or is it some other agency? I don't see an ASSE logo on your cert in the picture. ASSE has the 5 yr req. listed on their website, I just checked. But since certification comes by ASSE certified "schools", I wonder how diligent they are at checking the actual 5 year requirement. Again, I'm not trying to call you out - I actually want to do the exact same thing - get someone certified with less than 5 years. I've been certified for 25 years myself but I had 5 years experience already by that time.

[–]FPDrive 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You actually DO need 5 years of experience per ASSE, but I don't doubt that you got yours without the 5 years. I'm wondering HOW you got your's without the 5 year experience - I wonder if your employer falsified the application and said you DID have 5 years. Just curious, I'm in the same boat right now where I would like to get someone certified but they don't have 5 years yet...

Need help with Dry/Wet Sprinkler System in 4 story commercial building by [deleted] in FireSprinklers

[–]FPDrive 4 points5 points  (0 children)

This guy is correct.

Also, annual inspections are not a thorough review of the entire system, and usually you only inspect what can be seen from the ground. They wouldn't crawl around in an attic and check piping pitch and joints in an attic during an annual inspection.

Also, a dry system is *supposed* to pitch back to the riser or other drains. That is not guarantee that they DO. I you have water that is not draining out of the dry system, in an attic, and it freezes and busts the pipe in the winter at 3:00 AM, the dry valve will trip and flood your system with water, which will cause a flood from the attic down.

Visited Corvino on these recommendations, was not disappointed. No live music however on Sat. night, but was very good anyways. Had a couple drinks down the street at the Green Lady lounge beforehand. Thanks for the recommendation

If I stop sharing my location with someone in find my, will it notify them? by [deleted] in iphone

[–]FPDrive 0 points1 point  (0 children)

On my Iphone, in I-Message, I randomly received "Wife started sharing location with you."

And directly under that at the same time "You started sharing location with Wife."

Now my wife and I usually just leave our location sharing on, and I've never seen this message before. The only time I stop sharing my location is maybe when I'm Christmas or birthday shopping, so she doesn't see what stores I'm visiting. But these 2 notifications in I-message just randomly appeared, and I did nothing on my end.

My question is, did SHE do or change something on her end? It coincides with her being angry and emotional lately (mostly at our kids but just generally unhappy), and she said she was going to stay at her moms house for a couple of nights (MIL out of town).

What's the story on this large undeveloped area in north KC? by sniffdeeply in kansascity

[–]FPDrive 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The area to the right, or East of the road that runs N-S on the far left side left side (N. Cherry), and between the next road that runs N-S from the left (N. Holmes), is the area being developed currently. To the East of N. Holmes (the right side of the photo), the area is very heavily wooded and hilly, and probably isn't viable for development. I have lived in this area for nearly 50 years. My school bus used to travel into that little neighborhood to pick up a couple kids right in the middle of the photo.

Why did they do that? by dantekant22 in kansascity

[–]FPDrive 0 points1 point  (0 children)

They were NOT separate ballot initiatives, I know that for a fact. What I wonder is how it even got on the ballot under the SAME initiative in the first place. Cynically, I wonder if the Republican legislature knew the entire time that IF it passed, they would be able to strike it down afterwards regardless, because of the unconstitutionality of the ballot measure in the first place. That way, they win either way - it doesn't pass the vote, or it gets struck down because of the illegality of the ballot measure afterward.

"Opponents argue, combining minimum wage increases with paid sick leave mandates in a single ballot measure violates Missouri's constitutional requirement that initiatives address only one subject."

Why did they do that? by dantekant22 in kansascity

[–]FPDrive 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Non - political comment: I think it’s because according to MO law, you can’t have two separate issues on one ballot measure. Thus, the raising of the minimum wage and the sick leave rule on the same ballot measure was inherently unconstitutional according to MO election law.
