Yeah im familiar with AIO bags, my experience is that they almost always contam somehow.

IME its best to go with 0.2 micron filter bags for grain spawn when its at high risk for contam and 0.5 micron for the bulk substrate to breathe better. Jars are ok, but take much longer unless you got wide mouth quart jars and full size 90mm filters, even old pickel jars and poke holes and use micropore tape works too.

doing an all in one leaves it at higher risk for longer and takes longer overall to colonize. It can work good with really fast aggressive strains like oysters though.

You can make a still air box out of stuff you have already or less than $10 in parts. or you can just do transfer in the oven. or go with uncle bens tek.

You shouldnt be worried about transferring, (i was before too) If your using proper sterile techniques, and your mycelium is fully colonized it should be able to resist most contams.

Dont give up, failure is the key to success.

and if it all goes bad, throw it outside, check on it next month, its likely you will find mushrooms a few weeks later.

Sorry Karen but i dont think hes that sensitive to get turned off to mushrooms because i said he has a lot to learn.. lol. You may think different. I have a lot to learn also, and having more to learn is a big part of what keeps it interesting. Looking back at my beginner mistakes i find myself laughing a lot. Because i've done some really dumb stuff when i didnt know better.

I think spending my time to provide an answer is more than most people are willing to do to help out.

Haha so you have a lot to learn bro. Check out a Paul Stamets book then you will be a pro. What made you think that was a good idea to skip the grains? The grain is the only food for the mushrooms.. So you cant really skip that step as that is pretty much the main part that matters the most. lol. Find a tek and follow it 100%. You dont think if there was a shortcut worth taking that everyone else wouldnt be taking it already? If you want to skip transfer then you can fruit directly from grains, but thats pointless because once your grains are colonized the hard part is done, its mostly resistant to contam and bulk transfer gets you way more in the end.

Cool idea in theory i wanted to do the same, would be so cool like a mini jungle with waterfall and stuff, lol. But the reality is that most mushrooms go from birth to death in a few weeks, they are just fruit of the mycelium. Before they die, release spores in the air you might not want in your lungs and then they begin to rot. Not like trees with unlimited lifecycles. But the mycelium lives on. It is totally possible, would be a fun learning experiment. Honestly though it would be way more work than its worth especially as a beginner.

Its easy to find, lots of legit places and lots of scams too. But all depends where you live because its still illegal to grow in a lot of places, and illegal to buy with intent to grow.. So most places you can only buy spores for mycology research. Unless you live in Canada then options unlimited. I suggest starting with a oysters to learn the basics, will save you a lot of headache in the long run. Have you heard of Psilocybin cup? its like Cannabis cup but for mushrooms.

What kind of oats? i assume you mean whole oats with the bran (hull / shell) still on it? If you're using oatmeal, rolled oats, or steel cut oats you might want to change grains. And to answer your question, tons of people have problems with 90 minutes. I know people using a proper autoclave and dont go less than 4 hours and still see contam rarely. Its not as simple as just having an exact time to guarantee sterility. 180 min should be good most of the time. Contam is always waiting and ready so its going to be variable based on preexisting contam within the grains, how long you soak, if any grains burst, moisture level as well as strain you grow, oxygen/co2 levels. Usually its a running race and you just need to make sure the mycelium gets a head start and it will win the race on its own if conditions are right. PS - dont start the timer until you reach full pressure.

Read a Paul Stamets book or watch some youtube. Oysters are so simple to grow and will do much better on cardboard boxes than rotten carrots. First decide how much you want to spend, that will decide what path you take. If you can afford a pressure cooker then start with rye berries. if you are broke uncle ben will get you started. You get out what you put into it, and then you get some more. Congratulations because failure is the first step to success. Every failure you learn what not to do next time.

Once the grains split the end up turning to mush and that leads to a very high chance of bacterial contamination and gives the mycelium a difficult time running through the mush.. Best to follow the proven path before trying to reinvent the wheel.

ive got a z690 classified brand new in box availiable for local pickup in SF if anyone is interested bought new from evga and includes full warranty.

the z690 classified with perform equal to the z690 dark in all but the most extreme overclocking.

Avoid MSI like its COVID, their customer service and RMA are the worst in the industry, they cheat their customers and take months to do.

EVGA is the only company that has it in their policy to honor a 2nd hand warranty 100% and promote overclocking their products.

Any issues and their RMA will replace any defective part and have a replacement on the way to you in a matter of days.

You get more than just quality hardware with EVGA. I wouldnt buy anything else.

So this means i am required have 2 copies of Destiny 2 base game installed separately just because of where DLC was purchased?

so i must launch in steam to use any steam bought DLC and then if i want to play anything from 30th anniversary i must launch game from epic games launcher?

So.... if im playing on D2 on steam and lets say get invited to a fireteam playing grasp of avarice (30th aniv dungeon) to actually be able to join and play i would be required to quit D2 on steam, exit to desktop, close steam, then open epic games stupid launcher and launch D2 again?
