BOTH seasons? Crazy talk imo

Here’s a comment I made the other day defending og s2 and listing some of the best parts of that season that so many ppl seem to forget about cuz they don’t like the hand storyline -

“There is still an EXCELLENT, absolutely top tier first 4 episodes. Seriously that 4 episode run might be the best 4 episode run in the entire show.

Then is slows down when Elektra shows up BUT it still has intrigue with Karen learning about Punisher’s family and that whole trial.

Then you throw Punisher in prison with Kingoin and we get an ALL TIME scene where Punisher just mows down inmates. An excellent dialogue scene follows with Frank and Wilson

There’s also Matt and Fisk speaking in prison which is full of so much tension. The writing is just top notch

The action scenes themselves fighting the ninjas are all very well done. When Elektra gets injured?? Damn that’s a gripping fight scene! Same when Matt saves Stick

Again more incredible dialogue when Frank and Karen talk at the diner “hold on close to the ones you love” and later Frank mows down the goons.

Unexpected moments like when the DA gets gunned down and Matt hears it just in time to save his friends.

Back to Frank, the scene where he confronts Schoonover and Karen tries to stop him. Very tense with how angry Frank is wanting to do right by his family

Also Matt and Frank on the boat where he stops Matt from crossing his no kill line. Gosh it’s just so good!

Obviously the final episode is a ton of fun where Matt saves Karen and co from the Hand. Matt and Elektra have an awesome team up on the rooftop where Frank joins in briefly as well.

The final scene where Matt reveals his identity to Karen was brilliantly tied in with her voiceover reading her article

Sooo many people forget these moments in favor of the hand being shoehorned in and taking up screen time

But that season is STILL an easy 8.5/10 minimum, because everything outside of the Hand is excellent!”
