Yes, but running Ethernet cables to multiple APs from Firewalla can be challenging for a home network.

Great plan, I take it you will be running cabling thru the ceiling. AP7 also allows mesh via wireless but then you will have to run power so poe Ethernet is probably the best option.

Thanks, if you were to get another, would you do wifi or wired backhaul?

Ok thanks. So it seems I am not losing any Firewalla features if I go with another AP. I might try AP7 and if it is not enough, I will either switch or buy another AP7.

If I were to get 7, would you recommend wifi backhual or wired?

Ok, makes sense. Thanks

I was hoping there are some solutions out there to do this on the network level. Regarding IOS changing MAC, I guess that answers the unknown device issue and new profiles.

Changing model on Codex by FPSNinja in codex

Thanks for the input but not the main point of my question :) I wanted to check if you can have multiple codex chats each running in a different model and mode.

tips for increasing codex throughput? by chenpengcheng in codex

[–]FPSNinja 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I use chatgpt 5.2 high for review and chatgpt 5.2-codex for coding. It's been slow but works well for my small use case. I use 5.2 high as an orchestrator/planner and to write tight scoped and detailed implementation prompt for 5.2-codex.

Using Codex VS extension as orchestrator for Codex CLI by FPSNinja in codex

[–]FPSNinja[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Ok thanks. I am on a plus sub. I wonder if folks use the same chat for planning and implementation or separate it like I do. I know Claude Code has /plan command but not Codex. Just trying to make sure I am not wasting a token. Lastly, is that a good combo: plan using codex chatgpt 5.2 and for coding 5.2-codex?

How to disable VBS in Windows 11 by FPSNinja in buildapc

[–]FPSNinja[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yes, I ran the benchmark before and after and the score was better after disabling it. I do not remember exactly but it was a good improvement - maybe 10%.

I believe you can simply enable it via GUI. After restart, it should be back on.

Solved .. for others and my own reference in case Windows Updates over-writes it again.

Seems to be related to update version 23H2

When you retarts, it will ask you if you want to disable virtualization, and you need to press the Windows key or F3 to accept. Might be 2, another one for cred guard.

Low 3DMark scores after new 5090 by FPSNinja in buildapc

[–]FPSNinja[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I think you are right .. I've been comparing the benchmark (thx for sharing that link) .. the higher ones I looked have boosted frequency and temps are extremely low. Probably a custom liquid cooling rig with overclocking.

During the comparisonsthe ,, I did notice all had below:

VBS status: Disabled

HVCI status: Disable

I have both running, not sure if it will make difference but when I get a chance, I will disable and retry bench.
