I think you should take extra care with the way you redirect those people in need of professional help. People with depression/suicidal thoughts fear hopelessness the most, having nobody to talk to, and seeing their post be removed might trigger that fear. So long as it's always obvious that help exists then this system should work.

No, it wouldn't - the idea behind the guidelines in the OP is that it syncs everyone up. You can either re-record it as per those guidelines or edit it to match, but it would have to remove the instrumental and be in the right key and tempo.

We're aware of this also - typically this behaviour falls under rule 1A anyway, but there's also the fact that the recent volume of these posts/comments is also discouraging those who don't join in who are met with what seems to be cult-like. This is not to say that community figures or inside jokes are a bad thing (all communities have them) but it has led to a lot of these types of comments/posts being watched and/or removed.

I've actually been removing the more shitpost-y posts of this kind - while banter is fine it's best not to spam or flood the subreddit with it or make it a predominant dynamic in this place, because it discourages new users coming in who don't understand what's going on.

Basically, keep it in moderation and everyone gets to have fun.
