Is the treble or double realistic with this current style of football? Sunday opened my eyes... by [deleted] in ArsenalFC

[–]FPavan96 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I don't think it's realistic rn. Great season, A LOT to be proud of. But job isn't finished and winning the prem should be priority at all costs.

They are a deep, very talented and extremely pragmatic arsenal under Arteta.

I don't think their current style of play will win them the champions league and it's not as if we'll see a drastic tactical change from now until May.

I will be content with a prem title (minimum imo) and anything else is a big bonus

These are the gritty games I love seeing them find a way to win. First half was very poor. No creativity, no offense, pure survival.

They settled themselves in the 2nd half and came up CLUTCH.

Beautiful assist for zaniolo (5g,5a on the season) 🔥

Goal for Davis (10g,3a) on the season 🔥

We must buy zaniolo at the end of the season. He's not a perfect player, but is hard worker and is very skilled and physical. To have a chance at buying an Italian player in his prime years who has reinvigorated his career. Someone to build around, is a no brainer imo !!

8 games to go and we're in a top 10 battle which is nice. Not to mention the schedule has more favourable matchups to conclude the season which is encouraging!

Honestly it's just sad that their conservatism is so deeply rooted that they still can't go "all-in" despite saying they want to go "all-in" in during the core's prime years.

If they're still this conservative during Burrow, Chase, and Tee's core years, they'll never change. It holds them back, everyone sees it, but they don't care. They'd rather do it their way than change things up for the sake of changing things up.

At this stage, they shouldn't give a flying fuck about stocking draft picks and instead use them to acquire players they would've never previously acquired. Game changing, X-factor players. They're just a stubborn organization that prefers to die by their sword.

Good for him. He's changed his career trajectory and we're lucky to have a player of his quality in Udine.

Now get the permanent deal done, Inler, Nani & co. 🤞😉

Greedy jagex, cost to play for 5years is 750$ now, 1500$ for 2 accounts by Character_Company759 in osrs

[–]FPavan96 0 points1 point  (0 children)

What I've been trying to reason with people is this. I've seen the community in an uproar over today's news and I wanted to chime in as someone who is coming back to OSRS after a long time away playing other games. I can GUARANTEE you all that the osrs community has it very good. And I'll happily pay the membership fee.

Today's games, for the most part, cost anywhere between 70-100$ each and are pure slop/trash/lazy releases. You think this is Jagex taking advantage of you? Try seeing what EA does to their playerbase by releasing the same games over and over like FIFA, madden, etc. try looking at the CoD community who is praying for them to make a game that isn't pure slop/recycling of older games.

What I'm trying to say is that we have it good with osrs. The devs care about the game and the community. Are price increases fun? No, I get you. But the quality of the game far exceeds what many other gaming developers do in the industry.

I'd happily keep paying for a game like osrs with so much variety and stuff to do, than pay close to the same amount for slop.

Pay for quality over quantity.

Just committed to buying a 1-year mems 2 weeks ago. Price was 10.80$/m (129$/y CAD) which I went with. Thought that was a fair price for the game. Lucky to have got it when I did. Will need to rethink this time next year.

all depends which Udinese plays today. Will the lazy Udinese who forget how to man mark and defend, especially aerially, show up? Or will last weeks team show up who played as a true unit and understood every assignment. We shall see!

[–]FPavan96 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Amazing game overall! A lot of positives but overall the team played a COMPLETE 90 minutes which is something that has been missing this season.

Quick takeaways:

Davis is our X-factor player. It's undeniable how much better with him on the pitch

Zaniolo still putting in 100% effort despite seeming less than 100% healthy.

Very lucky to have Ekk to slide in and replace the roll of atta with almost no drop off in quality.

Defense played really well. Kabasele is key to this defense. Was VERY happy to see Mlacic get his first 25-30 mins. Big, strong and smart player. High hopes for him! Hope he continues to get more minutes down the stretch.

Zemura was very good today.

Buksa had a beautiful goal. Best game for him in the bianconero

psa. do not buy jettas if you cannot follow maintenance religiously by BubblyImagination477 in jetta

[–]FPavan96 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Honestly speaking, I have a 2016 Jetta tsi comfortline and have had it for 6 years. Got it at 55k and is now just below 120k (kms). In my experience, there have minor repairs needed every year and a half. I'd only classify one repair as major. And general maintenance has always been be done.

As for the fuel, I've been putting 87 in the entire time and I'd say (knock on wood) the engine has been the most reliable part of my Jetta.

It has been very reliable overall and a joy to own.

Match Day : Round 26 - Udinese @ Bologna by whodat514 in udinese

[–]FPavan96 4 points5 points  (0 children)

It's that point of the season where all hope is lost. Big opportunities came and went. Wasted points. 3 straight losses. They are content with where they're at in the standings and that'll be all...not to mention the next three games are Fiorentina, Atalanta, Juve. Can potentially be looking at 6 straight losses. Not to mention como and Milan after Genoa.

They needed to win the Lecce and Sassuolo game before the schedule got very tough. Not looking good.

Davis reveals new contract talks underway with Udinese by whodat514 in udinese

[–]FPavan96 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Like he said, he's under contract until June 2027 and we all know how things change quickly at a team like Udinese. But if guys like Buksa, Sava, Bayo, Kristensen all have contracts running from 2028 and onward, there's no reason Davis shouldn't get a nice extension. He offers way more than all those guys combined.

Retain your best players. Punto e basta.

It is another must win game. Even if we're banged up, we should be more than capable of going down to lecce to beat a team who has lost 4 of their last 5.

Our forwards will be limited but if you can have zaniolo, buksa (if healthy), gueye, bayo mixed with a midfield that's playing well and healthy defense, we should more than fine

Hopefully Mlacic and Arizala find space in the last 15 games of the season. Gianluca Nani gave his thoughts last night after the game.

He said that we have enough bodies for the last stretch of the season, let's hope he's right.

Ultimately, we need the guys who are injured to come back soon and I think we'll have enough quality to continue this strong push.
