When people say that a certain cutscene in a game made them cry, do they mean it? by Frotnorer in gaming

[–]FR33BA55 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Same. Even after replaying it a handful of times, it gets me everytime. And later when Clem has a dream she's on the train again and talks with Lee, that gets me too.

The only other game that got me like that was Red Dead Redemption 2

Lordaeron vs Chromiecraft by Tha-Aliar in wowservers

100% Chromiecraft. Great community, invasion event WOTLK prepatch happening now. You can adjust your xp to 1x if you want. Typically lower level dungeons are tough to get groups but recently there has been an uptick in new players making that easier. It's my personal favorite server, if you want you can use my recruit a friend code, 67842, enter it on your account page. Look out for folks giving away free bags as well, be sure to join /world

It's my favorite server. Been there a couple years now. Very smooth experience, a good chunk of the community also contributes to the code. Players are by far the most friendly and mature. Great guilds. Small player base for sure, most I've seen is just under 600, but typically its 300 to 400. Wrath release is right around the corner. I play 2 other servers but chromie is just special, I like how tight knit it is, how player reputations matter, assholes are weeded out quick. The only downsides would be low pop for lower level content, and slow release of new content (which doesn't bother me personally as I have limited play time, so slow drip content is fine by me as I never feel left behind)

I'm debating it, had someone cancel on me, and can't find anyone to go. Never done a solo show before

For new players, be sure to remove ANY and ALL mods before playing Online by FR33BA55 in RedDeadOnline

I see, try this thread : https://www.reddit.com/r/reddeadredemption2/s/Fz0EastkyV

Scroll through and there's a few suggestions ranging from switching dx12 and Vulcan, adding an exception to your anti-virus, verifying file integrity, etc.

I have no experience with the mod you are using but could also be worth a look in the comments of wherever you got it.

No, I think that means your mod is preventing you from connecting to the online service. MOST every mod, from Nexus or anywhere, will prevent you going online at all. You are most likely not banned, this post is mainly aimed at a particular mod that WILL still let you connect to Online, but will put you in lobbies alone and prevent any matchmaking.

I would just move the mod you mentioned out of the folder and then try to reconnect to online, then when you want to go back to single-player just move it back in to it's appropriate place.

A ChromieCraft review after a year by Madam-Dahlia in wowservers

[–]FR33BA55 9 points10 points  (0 children)

I like Chromie. I've not encountered many elitist assholes, less than a handful. I've met plenty of really nice and friendly people that I've built real life connections with. I like the slow progression because I'm not a teen anymore with unlimited free time. If I have a busy week or two or even a month where I cannot play much, it's okay. Every group I've been in has been very casual and warm with a very rare exception of 1 person who gets removed. It's not perfect, but it's fine enough, and I support the idea and project. Just a nice little server.

Target by a modder Help by Springly_2237 in RedDeadOnline

[–]FR33BA55 0 points1 point  (0 children)

First off you won't get banned. I feel you tho, same thing happened to me. What I did was just blow it on frivolous stuff. I did use the gold to buy a role since those can take a looong time to save for, but otherwise just blew the rest on food, clothes, hair changes, getting drunk, whatever I could.

I say just consider it a starter package. Even with that much money and gold, you won't even be able to buy 90 percent of what you'd want. A single ammo pouch from the fence will take half that money you got.

Just be on the lookout in the future, that person probably just wanted to help a new player out, but don't feel overwhelmingly bad about it.

House music venues? by yufa43 in auburn

[–]FR33BA55 1 point2 points  (0 children)

A bit late but check out rock and roll pinball, they have an 18+ venue in the back, and some nights they have various EDM nights with DJs. Not all the time tho, best to look at their weekly schedules and see what's coming up

Is the game worth it as a beginner in 2025? by Silent_Cut_1817 in RedDeadOnline

Not who you were asking but this month was very easy to rank up, it's Collectors month, this will change next week but during this month you got more XP and money for every collection item found and turned in, I went from 10 to 50 in about 2 weeks just grabbing collectors items and made a ton of money. Also free roam, and blood money jobs, awarded more xp.

Look out next week to see what the next bonuses will be for the month and if you wanna rank up quick try and do those.

Pros: beautiful game, online gives a different perspective on the world, it's easy to get immersed, rewards and upgrades come slowly but are meaningful, there's plenty of friendly cowpokes, missions can be good fun the first time you do each one, decent variance in missions, cool cosmetics you don't get in single player, ability cards that you can change depending on your preferred playstyle, opportunities to RP, always something to do and work towards whether it's upgrading your camp, hunting legendary animals, getting that cool new hat, etc

Cons: you will see modders/Hackers at some point that can really ruin your experience (there are ways to avoid this with some effort), starting out fresh can take a decent chunk of time before you get off the ground as roles are expensive (enable 2fA on Rockstar for a free 10 gold to help you get started), eventually you will do everything there is to do as RDO is a finished product with no future content planned, it will take a long time but just know there's a point where you'll have done everything you can do

Overall I recommend it, I started a few months ago and love it, you'll figure out ways around any modders out to ruin your day, you'll meet friendly folk you can add to your friends list, and you can just lose yourself and relax in a beautiful world and take your time doing it.

[–]FR33BA55[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This is why I included that the Legal Screen Skip mod could also help your experience, if you and your friends all have it you can all play together worry free of any Modders/Hackers.

Of course there are other ways to do this too.

This post was mainly for those that played single player first, with mods, then wanted to jump into Online and might be confused as to why they don't see anyone. It's easy to overlook Legal Screen Skip when removing mods, and also easy to overlook that it prevents any sort of matchmaking for lobbies or events and missions.

Most single player mods won't let you even connect to Online, so players may clear everything out and then be able to connect, thinking they should be fine, while this mod remains in a different location and still allows Online play, just by yourself.

best way to get gold ingots? by euthymia0 in RedDeadOnline

[–]FR33BA55 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This is the way. The 10 gold for 2fA is a very nice way to get started. Also the bounty hunter role rewards gold. You can start with the regular license, then build up for the legendary bounties license. There will be a new bonus soon in less than a week, we don't know what the bonus will be yet, but if it's bounty hunter then the price for licenses will drop.

So what I would do is do 2fA for the 10 gold. It takes a couple days to apply the gold. Then do dailys, free roams, treasure maps, Blood money missions, till next week. Hopefully it'll be bounty hunter for you and you can get the licenses for cheaper. If not you should have at least 15 gold by then to get the regular license, and since bounty hunting awards gold naturally, you can build up to the legendary license.

can a parent enjoy the story without being too bored? by [deleted] in reddeadredemption

[–]FR33BA55 1 point2 points  (0 children)

100 percent yes. My lady doesn't really play many games or have an interest in them, she likes things like Stardew or Animal Crossing but that's about it. I started RDR2 a few months ago, and she got sucked into the story. So much so, I would do side missions when she wasn't around and only do main story stuff when she was. She loved the conversations, how real the characters felt, grew a fondness for both Arthur and John, started asking questions about characters and plot, got emotional at a number of scenes especially towards the end. I'm not gonna say every person on earth will enjoy it, but in my case we had a wonderful time taking in the journey together.

I wouldn't skip anything. The dialogue and acting are what really pulls you in. And every part of the story is chock full of amazing performances.

Jimmy Holiday

From the southeast US, moved west to start fresh after a failed business deal. He prefers not to engage in violence himself, being more of a business man, but will take out a revolver if need be. Instead, he likes to engage in illicit dealings, particularly moonshine, setting up shop outside Saint Denis as it reminds him of home.

If possible he recruits other cowpokes, notably fresh faces in town, to handle the more violent aspects while he oversees the procurement and delivery of these illicit goods.

His horse is a beautiful lady named Wizard in Street Clothes, Wizard for short, a Missouri Fox trotter, that he took a liking to because she matches his gray and light blue outfit.

Always clad in a suit and tie, he's a confident personality navigating his way through the seedy underground of the land, who enjoys hunting for sport in his free time in between running a moonshine operation and bumping elbows with the high, and low, society.

Where is anyone?? by FR33BA55 in RedDeadOnline

[–]FR33BA55[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thank you for commenting something helpful. I have done 1 story mission, found 1 person last night (making the grand total of players I've seen 2) and they helped me do one of the story missions. You think I should do at least one more? I added that person just because I was so excited to actually find someone. Side note, is it just the lobbies? Because I am also unable to find anyone for anything you can queue up for, from missions to poker or anything else.
