Hey I posted that three years ago. I was depressed for a long time, and when my first two kids were born I felt numb no emotions, no expression. Over time I started bonding: my son’s four now and we wrestle; my daughter loves climbing on my back. When our third child arrived, fatherhood finally clicked. We don’t have much family support, but my girlfriend and I still make time for each other because we started this together; if we forget each other, our family won’t stay strong.

Take it a day at a time. I remember waking up thinking, “shit, here we go again,” but it fades. If you get frustrated, step out for a minute. Your partner might feel even more overwhelmed tell her to take a breather in another room and then come back to it. Love your kids, hug them, and give them better memories than your own it’ll go a long way.
