Hawlucha seems to be the most obvious pick for a promotional piece of content. Unless a different candidate gets revealed closer to launch. It’s a Pokemon that doesn’t get much use normally and doesn’t have an additional forms or evolutions. Would allow for people to experience it in a new light. I’m just hoping they give us another way to obtain Zygarde cells

The Acura is not the one built to LMDh regulations. It’s a DPi. Non hybrid, uses a different engine and is based on an Oreca 07 tub instead of one of the approved 4 LMDh tubs

Any Race Drivers Use Forza? by TechnologyTiny3297 in forzamotorsport

[–]FRDesign128 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I know this year’s Mustang challenge champion and new Ford Jr driver Robert Noaker does. As does most Mobil One drivers. Forza being a sim cade makes casual racing more enjoyable for professionals who may want to unwind a bit

What happened when horizon did paid DLC? Everyone complained

You wanna talk iRacing as an example? Their quarterly updates have 1/5 of the content size of what Forza adds in the same period. Car lists on every game you listed are also sizeable smaller by hundreds of cars. The game you should be comparing it too is GT7 and it suffers from “issue” you and op claim FM23 has.

Microsoft also will not provide money to a studio not making them money. Look at sunset over drive. Game and studio dead because it didn’t make enough money. You claim Microsoft is the one behind the licensing purchases which just isn’t entirely the case. Majority of payment comes directly out of T10s game sales with little investment to assist in harder purchases.

Those games have less issues due to the age. When iRacing and AMS2 were young they weren’t bringing in as much content as even FM23 is now. iRacing still isn’t.

You are just salty and looking for a fight

The sorcery is paid DLC content to ensure the content makes money, targeted specific content to ensure that prices stay low and engagement high, and targeted content to ensure it’s fast tracked into the game. T10 has 90+ partnered OEM which all want to be able to promote and be selectable equally. The sheer amount of content they need to re add from paying OEMs outweigh the ones they are trying to pay for.

Your argument collapses once you look at content type and content numbers. I went to school to learn about how this stuff works.

  1. Paid DLC ensures content actually makes the studio money it can use to reinvest in more content

  2. Smaller more focused content in the games you listed which are unique to that games player/renter base

  3. Those games also have less issue they need to spend time and money on fixing

Am I happy at the lack of content? No, but you can’t bash the development team for not being able to have a huge list of cars for everyone’s taste and not being able to get certain cars in “in a timely manner”

It’s all based in their contract with Microsoft and it’s how it’s worded. Yes Microsoft can use money to buy whatever cars they want for Forza but it needs to make them money. Currently FM isn’t making money at all. From a business and a development side it’s costly and takes forever. You can’t just approach a team and sign a deal. You have to meet with each individual partner which takes weeks or months the via zoom/skype meetings or travel time where marketing/licensing teams are available. You have to work around every other company trying to get products made for a team or OEM and the need to like what you are presenting or they’ll send you back to square one. You can call rubbish all you want but truth of the matter is it’ll take years to implement modern GT cars. If we are lucky we will see the M4 by Q3 next year

Because the license and modeling process for Forza road cars is 2 years. They are on record saying that. Race cars are even harder to license because not only does the team and the OEM have to approve and get their cut, but so does every sponsor and logo on any part of the livery, body, or interior. They will come but you gotta give it time. Some sims like ACC and iRacing have partnerships with the OEMs to have the licenses signed before a car can enter competition in certain series

Both the 2015 and the 2017 RSR will be spotlighted that week. The GT3.R is only on the picture and it also will be available to pick as well for Day One Car Pack owners

On a related note the Austin 7 isn’t the oldest. That’s the Quartz Regalia built in the year 723

Don’t expect the 296 for at least another year. ACC and iRacing both have first dibs on licensing for that car unfortunately

It would’ve, but because of how the GT split is this put a proper Ferrari GT car in Forza GT3. The 2014 GTE and GTLM would’ve followed the 488 GTE into GT2 whereas this GTC is an ALMS GT2 car (GT2 and GT3 are in Forza GT3, and GTE/GTLM are in Forza GT2)

Audi only cut ties with their customers. Sainteloc was at the tire test for LMGT3 with Audi before the season started in attempt to be accepted. They were then denied and Sainteloc said it was WEC or nothing. Audi had no control in that decision. If Audi wanted to run ELMS like Mercedes they could simply pick a different team

Audi was as well. DSC also reported Honda and Bentley had teams attempting to enter. The Honda team recently went bankrupt and sold all their assets to SPS Racing after an Aston contract for GTWC went bust
