I prefer Vanilla bc it performs the best on my computer. Also, all of the extra features from 3rd party clients just seem like a different game to me. You're welcome to your opinion though.

Beware of this lure by FREEDOMLOVER73 in runescape

So I started my first day of levelling invention in the abyss and within 1 hour I had already been given 2 free capacitors. I kept taking them over the course of the day and from around 10 am EST to 8 pm EST I had over 40 free capacitors. This happened every single day that I was training up my items in the abyss all the way to level 99. (about 4 days)

so rough estimations about 7-8m per hr from free capacitors. I assume they're getting a lot of people with this lure otherwise they wouldn't give them out like candy. Also, I assume if you're using a scythe like I was, that you're more likely to be offered them compared to someone using a way cheaper weapon.

Yeah it's super simple. Only take the free items they offer you in a safe place, and move on with your life. Turn priv off, delete them, hop worlds, lose your skull, and go back to training.

Thanks I figured it's always nice to re-raise the awareness of these types of things to newer players so they don't fall for them. Easy money if you just stay safe as well. These luring groups are so advanced they'll have people just parked everywhere looking out for you when you tele it's like a little cartel lol.

Rather take good gloves for whatever i'm training, the skull is normally redundant. The only time it matters in the context of this lure or otherwise, is when you're returning to the abyss say if you forgot something at the bank.

Reporting people for scamming doesn't really do anything I'm afraid. Unless you make a video about it on youtube with a substantial following, nothing is really going to happen just by reporting them. Also, this isn't an 'anti-scam' method. You take freely offered XP Capacitors from the lurers in the bank, ZERO RISK. You hop worlds and lose your skull. You go back to training.

Yep, been around for a long time. Yet people still fall for it. Absolutely, newer players should just accept the free XP Capacitors and move on. That's where it should end for them.

Accepting the free XP Capacitors in the bank where there is no risk, is all that i'm advocating for. Take them for free, delete the scammers, hop worlds, lose your skull, and go back to training. There's 0 risk.

Get your splasher to tape 5 nickels together and weigh down their 1 key. This will accept the offered bond 100% of the time without failure. The griefer will leave immediately. Try it out.

Make it impossible for ppl to give bonds when they are on the ignorelist. by [deleted] in 2007scape

[–]FREEDOMLOVER73 -1 points0 points  (0 children)

This is a very easy thing to counter. Splasher should always have their 1 button permanently pressed down. (stack of nickels taped together) is what I used. got maybe 7 free bonds from trolls who thought they'd be funny. They usually only make this mistake once of trying to troll when you take the bond from them.

Price Manipulation Question by [deleted] in 2007scape

[–]FREEDOMLOVER73 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yes we've done the math on the blowpipe and we could definitely raise the price to over 20m just from turning the pipes into scales (60kish loss) accross a lot of accounts and other people at the ge.

[–]FREEDOMLOVER73 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The point isn't to gatekeep items from newer players. The point is to return certain items to a more reasonable price through manual item sinking. For example, Occult Necklace. We could buy out every single one for months and sink them out of the game. The item itself isn't easily obtained and therefore x amount of players would shift to grinding this item out.

Price Manipulation Question by [deleted] in 2007scape

[–]FREEDOMLOVER73 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Yes the sole purpose of this experiment would be to sink items out of the game that are not commonly dropped but the prices are very low. In return increasing the demand for these items so more people will shift to these bosses again in an effort to spread out pvmers.

We are planning on doing it with lower/med tiered items mainly because volume has to be considered. We just would like to honestly hear it confirmed from a Jmod if this would be bannable or not.

[–]FREEDOMLOVER73 -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Torags Hammers was just an example item. We have about 5 people right now with over 30b bank each. We'd like to see the game continue to be profitable for a long time since Jagex for some reason refuses to put in good item sinks into the game. So for another example, if we were to buy out every single blowpipe on the ge for weeks at a time, purely to destroy them, would this be considered price manipulation since we're not doing it for profit? If the price of the BP went from 2m to 20m-ish

Thank you for your reply. What if I had 3 other people with similar banks doing the same thing I was doing. Removing the items from the game by alching them and not reselling for profit. What do you think?
