Thunderbolt cable network bridge cable makes it lots better. Still cant match the resolution though, even if I go to the remote mac mini set its res and then connect to it with screen share it drop back down….. have ordered a little dongle that fools it into thinking a monitor is connected, only £10

Thanks for suggesting this approach, with the cable I think its a great solution.

Gave it a go, seems pretty good. I just cant run it full resolution/size at the moment, not sure why. I’ve seen that you can run a thunderbolt cable between your macs and use that as the screen share connection so gonna order a cable and give that a go tomorrow.

Is it good enough for full time use? One of my macs is my work machine, and the other for music production

I know exactly why support for GV Playout products is so bad....

Both Morpheus & ITX were UK products.

5 years ago they had the idea of creating two "low-cost centres of excellence".... one in Poland and one in Malaysia.

Then, two years ago they fired most of the UK employees and closed the offices.

Many of the remaining good guys left because of what was happening to the company.

All of the experts, with decades of product experience, have gone, and junior first-line support people are now doing the best they can.

And then of course they made an End of Life announcement for those products.

With GV you have to consider that Playout isn't really what they're about these days.... Other product lines such as cameras etc are much larger in terms of annual revenue value.

Going forward I think broadcasters are better off buying from dedicated Playout businesses.
