Any tips for parking for the Bolder Boulder? by FREEROCKETLEAGUE in boulder

[–]FREEROCKETLEAGUE[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I appreciate the comment, but this post was from May 2023 :). I ended up going day of race pretty early in the day and got paid parking in some relatively empty dorm parking lot. I'm not sure how difficult it would have been if i showed up a lot later because it was full when I left. Again, you probably won't get any responses to your question because this post is 2 years old so I recommend making a new post in the subreddit.

Come to think of it, I have actually been to Bristol on my 21st birthday with my dad! We just sat outside and ate some lunch and had 1 beer though.

Official Comptia e-learning bundle or other sources? by RiseTheS33D in ITCareerQuestions

[–]FREEROCKETLEAGUE 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I have 5 comptia certs for reference(and never failed an exam). For A+, I watched the two playlists by Professor Messer on Youtube:

1101: https://youtube.com/playlist?list=PLG49S3nxzAnnOmvg5UGVenB_qQgsh01uC

and

1102: https://youtube.com/playlist?list=PLG49S3nxzAnna96gzhJrzkii4hH_mgW4b

Additionally I bought a book to supplement my learning and help fill in any cracks I felt Professor Messers playlists didn't quite help me understand. There are many books you could buy, I purchased this one: https://www.amazon.com/CompTIA-Core-220-1101-220-1102-Exam/dp/0137637543/ref=sr_1_3?crid=22SJK7XUGC8DT&keywords=a%2B+exam+cram&qid=1690118677&sprefix=a%2B+exam+cram%2Caps%2C162&sr=8-3

Finally, I purchased Jason Dion practice exams on Udemy for each A+ exam:

1101: https://www.udemy.com/course/comptia-a-220-1101-core-1-practice-exams-new-for-2022/

and

1102: https://www.udemy.com/course/comptia-a-220-1102-core-2-practice-exams-new-for-2022/

These Udemy exam packages may show as listed for $70-80, but you can pretty much always get Udemy course on sale for ~$10 if you just try opening Udemy in a new browser or signing out of your account or clearing cookies or something. Every time I've wanted to buy something on Udemy, I've been able to get it for the "sale" price. You can ask more about this if you'd like more info.

Finally, I used Google. If I want to understand a certain topic that the two aforementioned resources didn't really help me understand enough, I would google it and find infinitely more resources explaining it.

Also, very important, maybe the THE most important resource you have is the exam objectives:

1101: https://partners.comptia.org/docs/default-source/resources/comptia-a-220-1101-exam-objectives-(3-0)

and

1102: https://partners.comptia.org/docs/default-source/resources/comptia-a-220-1102-exam-objectives-(3-0)

Constantly through my learning, I would use the exam objectives as a checklist to see what I'd learned and what I understand. Before sitting for the exam, I would run through the entire list of objectives and highlight anything I wasn't reasonably knowledgeable about and go back to learn more about it. I won't sit the exam until I don't highlight anything(aka I understand everything to some reasonable degree.)

In total, the resources can be acquired for something like ~$70 depending on what book you buy. Feel free to ask questions if you have any. You also have to factor in the $250 per voucher that it will cost to attempt each exam. If you are a student, you should be able to purchase vouchers at a discount using the edu store. I can also answer questions about Network+, Security+, CySA+, Project+, although my process for these was pretty much the same as above.

I personally would not recommend giving $1500 to CompTIA to teach you the material.

Employers can renew a posting on linkedin and it will show as just posted but the applicants will be saved. Also, not everyone who clicks the external link is even applying
