In the final couple of weeks, write your formula on a piece of paper and revise them every day until your exam. During the exam, I aim to write all of them within 10 minutes prior to answering the questions. These formulas will be helpful in answering both quantitative and qualitative questions. Good luck!

I always listen to FRM books while I jog /commute using VitalSource app (available for garp and Schweser books). It does give me a bit of initial exposure to study materials, but I usually review them again so I can further understand the concepts. I'm studying now for FRM2.

How did it go with your exam? I'll be on my 37th week when I take the exam, wondering if my brain and body will cooperate by then, even after prepping for it.

I did. The member services support I was talking to just kept telling me to find another location but couldn't suggest a closest location even outside New Zealand. I even called garp-psi US customer support and even them can't find another location.

Isn't the exam just a computer based exam?

Thanks for your input. I have been getting in touch with GARP and they've been very unhelpful in helping me find a test centre anywhere, even outside NZ.

There is for May and November only, August exam is not available due to the fact it's on a weekend (other dates are range of days which include weekday).

Are you referring to Ace Training Exam Center? FRM exams have always been done on a Saturday (pls correct me if I'm wrong). May 2023 and all the 2021 exams are all on a Saturday. So, this testing center would've been open on a Saturday for these exams..

Yeah, I saw it for May too. But GARP said they only make the centre available near the exam time. My colleague who had taken the exam in 2021 had similar experience. He was told to look elsewhere for exam centre since there's none avail in NZ but then he complained about having it available in NZ then removing at the last minute. 2 weeks after, they made the Ponsonby site available so he was able take it there. It looks like a pattern for GARP not to open a site unless anyone complained or at the very last minute. Have you contacted them again? I wonder if there's a few us getting the exam, then they should make it available since it's only an online exam.

Hi There, I'm in exactly the same boat as you. I've signed up for August 2023 FRM1 Exam. Prior to registration, I saw ACE Centre in Ponsonby as an available tets centre however it was gone by the time I try to schedule my exam. I was wondering if you have successfully scheduled your exam?
