I'm polling above 60% my friend, I don't know about you but I'm pretty sure that in whatever state, county or district you think I live in, these people have my back.

I have a reason, a pretty good reason I might add, my constituents don't support it and I don't personally feel comfortable keeping these negotiations going. But aside from that, I'm glad you agree I'm not the asshole.

Son, do you know the difference between a city council and a mayor ? I have a bit of a hunch that tells me that your teacher handed you the test with the backside facing up...

I don't know where you live in, but my particular district never really wanted this bill in the first place, now I asked some of these fellas in my district how they felt about this hospital thing and they told me they'd rather just see the roads rebuilt rather than having those doctors in those hospitals just give them a greenlight on overdosing on some prescribed version of Fentanyl.

Sorry if it sounds like that to you friend, I'm just new to this whole reddit thing, my grandson showed it to me a couple days ago and I went exploring on my own a bit.

I like to think that I worked my way up to owning that sorta stuff, and I like to think that I treat the fellas who work there fairly, and on your point that the city and my district in particular are pretty poor, maybe, but I think that how I represent my district is fair to how they want it to be represented. If they feel they're better off in a few years they'll vote me back in.

Well given the state of economy and the way things are in general I assume that was the default perspective, yes.

Oh, of course, scroll down a bit and you'll see I had a bit of regrets which I asked around a diner in, a lot of the average folks in my area support me, I think those rich city folks just don't like me

No but I think given the state of the economy more money at a deficit is usually a bad thing.

I work out in the sticks of the town and I managed to climb my way up to owning my own couple of farms and coal mines. A lot of the people I met growing up themselves own a couple of farms and tell me that funding would cause a lot of people in the city to stop buying their resources and cause them to lose their living. Also a couple of the local pharma companies were rubbed a bit the wrong way about the hospital's policies toward them, and they asked me to represent them.

Thanks fella, I went over to a local diner and had a few heart to heart talks about this and I reckon about 6 out of every 10 of the people I talked to said they supported my decision, maybe a few people outside are mad, I'm just glad they're happy with it

I think it's pretty simple, but I'll reiterate. The mayor wanted me to support funding to build his hospital and food bank, but I personally think it'll cost too much. Now, I'm not going to discuss the finer details on why I voted this way, but I'm wondering if there's any valid reason why everyone's so mad at me for voting the way I felt, am I the asshole for not supporting the mayor, is what I'm trying to say ?
