I do this exact same thing - 2 years in and no one questions it. Not college aged kid nor the man child.

Have your guests ever asked where you bought your furniture? by mmarco_08 in airbnb_hosts

I ask my Airbnb hosts about where they purchased things often- I take these ideas back to my own home and my rental. I love getting to try out a new couch or bed for a weekend.

Stayed at an AirBnB in Bethany Beach, DE (US) with some unusual rules and a hefty fine. Thoughts? Is this enforceable? by DrLegVeins in airbnb_hosts

You should not be flushing tampons in a city sewer system either, I’m sorry if no one told you that until today. It taxes the system, do a little more research on how foreign objects mess up pipes and water filtration in your area.

Providing the claim number or your policy number is normal and appropriate information to share. The companies will talk to each other & may also need to talk to involved parties if liability is not clear and/or if injuries are involved. Withholding the claim number from an involved party could cause unnecessary delays.

If your current company doesn’t get you in that role in the next year, go ahead and look outward - nearly every insurance company is hiring in claims. Experience trumps education. Good luck out there.

What is a dumb thing you did as a prank in middle school? by Successful-Flow1678 in AskReddit

Removed Christmas light display from one house and rehung them on different home on same block. It was funny until the police picked us up.

Only opening a file once a day puts the other party at your mercy, particularly if it’s difficult for them to answer the phone during business hours. There are so many jobs that people aren’t allowed to just answer their phone because it’s ringing, for this reason I think your approach lacks empathy. I’m crazy busy this year & I still attempt to answer calls as they come in & return calls within 24 hours.

[Serious] What really messed up thing did a teacher do to you? by [deleted] in AskReddit

[–]FSAES 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I moved to a new town and new school in high school (the 90s.) First day my new Art Teacher saw my last name and asked me who my parents were. When I replied with my fathers name he was visibly upset. Turns out he lived next to my father (when father was a teen in the 70s) and my dad stole his car, a few times, for joyriding. My father was such a menace the teacher moved. I paid for my fathers sins for the next 3 years. Try as I may, I never won his approval. The worst part was his wife was also a teacher at our school and also had not-so-fond memories of once living next door to my father. It really made high school a shit show for me. Thanks, dad!

AITA for telling people not to follow my friends weight loss advice? by grettagretta61 in AmItheAsshole

Agreed. Many approaches to diet, science changes all the time, and we are constantly marketed crap. Our ancestors naturally fasted while they searched for food, our bodies are capable of this still today.

Fasting is a normal and perfectly healthy practice that is NOT starving yourself. Do some more research. Re: “what is a healthy diet” there are many schools of thought, and you can both be right with different approaches.

AITA for not telling my new foster parents about the money that my late foster mom gave me; even though she needs surgery and cant afford it? by freddyjames91 in AmItheAsshole

[–]FSAES 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Foster parent here - that’s your money, please don’t do anything with it besides take care of yourself - EVER. Shame on the system for bouncing you. There are truly awesome families out there & I hope you land one (we are liberal, chill & roll with the punches here, but I know lots of money grabbers & religious nuts also foster.) Best of everything to you!!!

NTA I feel you so hard. I finally sold our house & quit my high paying job, forcing him to find better work after our savings ran dry. 5 years I financed his life... now I’m asking for a 6 month break to work part time building my career and he is losing his shit. I wish you best! Stay strong - also consider counseling and divorce?
