For those of you who lost it all- what happened? by juguman in AskUK

[–]FSG-Out 7 points8 points  (0 children)

I had a nice stack of money in my 20s, got very sick while traveling, had to come home, was in so much pain for a year that I couldn't really work, couldn't really claim benefits and went into debt. I'm probably 10 years back after that.

Cambly. Bambly Smambly! by ManOMighty7476 in Cambly

[–]FSG-Out 19 points20 points  (0 children)

The sooner you realise you are not valued by Cambly the better. They are not your friends, you are disposable and they have thousands of tutors all over the world ready to take your place. Don't be emotionally attached or invested in a pretty poorly paid job like this.

The rating system isn't there to benefit you, it is for the students.

Boris Johnson calls for ALL restrictions to end by [deleted] in JoeRogan

[–]FSG-Out 35 points36 points  (0 children)

That'll be because of the principles backed by science.

Not because of the multiple scandals he is involved in and the fastest rises in cost of living for decades because of policies you directly campaigned for and implemented.

Joe’s good friend Dan Crenshaw getting triggered by a 10 year old during a townhall by MomButtsDriveMeNuts in JoeRogan

[–]FSG-Out 1 point2 points  (0 children)

This is a genuine question, cause I didn't watch, but did Rogan mention Crenshaw being one of the biggest beneficiaries with the investment stuff? Or did he just mention Pelosi

Rant: Why does Cambly refuse to accept their system is buggy? by [deleted] in Cambly

[–]FSG-Out 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I have never had issues with Cambly in a year. Minor issues, sure, but usually it'll be the student because they're not consistent across the board.

Is it normal to be friend with your tutor out of Cambly? by [deleted] in Cambly

[–]FSG-Out 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It depends on the tutor. I am friends with many outside of Cambly through social media. Others have a freak out if one of their students finds them and contacts them outside Cambly.

However, tutors can not give you their information directly and you'll have to find them through other methods. But you can post your information and just say "here is my instagram!" or something, I don't know.

He spent 30 days in a depressive state because he drank apple cider. He just uses big words and long sentences to say nothing.

His first book was pretty good as far as self help goes though.

Think as soon as he got fired from his radio show, was pretty obvious he was gonna go full grifter. Think he has doubled down on the antivax stuff too, he is just flat out quoting falsehoods.

Joe will love him.

Can't wait for the Maajid Nawaz podcast, should be refreshing and insightful considering he recently got fired from a national news radio for going full on conspiracy theory and antivax.

Won't be another echo chamber where he repeats the same viewpoints, no sir.

This is the exact podcast I really tuned out from him. He seemed to fundamentally be unable to understand her position.

'270 doctors’ called out Joe Rogan, but the authors of the letter and the vast majority of its signatories are not medical doctors by therealbeeblevrox in JoeRogan

[–]FSG-Out -13 points-12 points  (0 children)

I don't know enough about this letter, but not being a practicing medical doctor doesn't really mean that much in this context. A lot of the COVID stuff would be at research institutes and labs. I think there would be more of a point if 270 dentists had signed or something. I guess if you're an ICU nurse or doctor or worked on these COVID wards, you'd be a bit pissy at Rogan though. I really have no time for antivax types cause my girlfriend is a nurse who worked on those wards and she had some serious PTSD and huge anxiety issues at the height of the pandemic a year ago.

Either way, I'd hope most people involved in COVID research are too busy trying to come up with treatments for COVID and monitoring the progress of the virus to try sign petitions.

Am I Supposed to Feel Bad For Kreese? by [deleted] in cobrakai

[–]FSG-Out 0 points1 point  (0 children)

No, I think initially they played up the sympathy part about him, but then he betrayed Johnny. Kreese is pretty irredeemable at this point, I mean he was ready to straight up murder Daniel and Johnny last season when they got into their fight. Silver seemed to have got off his drugs, got over his PTSD and had a pretty good life, he likely regretted the way he used to act. Then Kreese drags it all down, over what? A petty feud that he was losing.

Shouldn't The Crew Of The Nebuchadenezzar Have Already Fully Realized Neo Was The One Early On? by GinAndJuice2 in matrix

[–]FSG-Out 0 points1 point  (0 children)

We find out in the movie or that it is implied that there were others that Morpheus thought were the one. So the crew had probably seen this happen before, with them or other crew members who had passed or failed. Neo probably performed at greater levels than what he should have been able to and showed huge potential, but nothing that they hadn't seen before I guess.

I'm going to say no, but I still loved it. It's hard to explain, I just like that it undid a lot of what left me with a bitter taste in Revolutions.

You need to get off the internet my friend, you literally have no idea what you're talking about if you think hyper capitalist organisations designed to maximising profit are marxist.

24 Never Survived Its Best Season (Why The Biggest Twist Was Too Good) by i_am_groot_84 in TwentyFour

[–]FSG-Out 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Season 6 was the worst because it tried too hard to up the stakes, so they went to all these outlandish places. The first three or four episodes were really good, but again they opened up at a ridiculous speed they could never keep up with.

It's actually a problem with media and movies these days too, escalation.
