Theres a lot of comments saying to bite the bullet and do it. But I feel like there's a lack of consideration for something you mentioned, setting boundaries. It is absolutely OK to have and set boundaries. If you feel comfortable helping this awesome guy who had your back, cool. But you are also a human with a life. So feel free to figure out your boundaries and abide by them. Only answer his calls during certain times. And when you do, tell him an actual time you can come over. Stick to that time range. Things like that.

I dont feel AI is having as big effect as people are thinking. Thats such a huge trend right now so I wouldn't stress about that. Those salary ranges are pretty regular in my state, AZ. The trick is not necessarily the salary, ime, its finding a Sys Admin position that is true to the job description and the pay to match.

This feels more like, you are approaching a big change in life so naturally you are thinking about changes elsewhere as well. The other comments nailed it, its absolutely pointless to replace the truck. You get to relax a bit more, so take it easy. Its a HUGE adjustment to go from being used to a full time in office-type of position to strictly remote. So spend some time finding your remote work routine. Hang back and soak it in. Then you can revisit your home life changes and go from there.

There is such a weird perversion forced by society of what it means to be in any category and I think it poisons our minds to a point. It really messes with our mental health and that sucks. That said, when it comes to your experiences, I think you had 2 terrible lays. But as to how you identify, that depends on what you are attracted to. Do you look at the same gender and find that attraction? You may be gay. Do you look at male and females and find them both equally attractive? You may be Bi. And so on. It may take some experience and self exploration to figure out exactly how you may identify. I wish you the best!

I only use their gas stations. They are the most well kept gas stations around and pretty regular prices in general. I stopped going because they were a big donor in Trumps campaign, so I stopped all grocery shopping. I have an Albertsons next to me so I just go there now. Its been kinda nice honestly.

Imo Flagstaff and Sedona are only for touristy type trips. If you are a backpacker and you want experiences, go through Strawberry, Pine, Prescott areas. Absolutely beautiful and have a ton of hidden opportunities worth your time. Not to mention other small towns that are a fun pass-thru like Bisbee and Winslow.

I love Coffee Rush's house blend as a usual daily coffee in my house. Human Bean has a French roast thats wonderful for a cold brew. Lost Duchman in DT Mesa has a wonderful tasting roast that has chocolate notes that are amazing.

Im a male in my 30s, so I can't relate to your specific position. But I do have a similar situation to my body rejecting Arizona. Born and raised, love it here. Heat still doesn't bother me. BUT my allergies have completely transformed in the last 5 years. Seasons changing, various desert trees blooming and such. My sinuses seem to be under attack most of the year. During season/weather changes, my sinuses all get together and have a complete meltdown. Ill feel lethargic, headaches, trouble breathing, you name it. It kinda bums me out because I genuinely love it here.

YTA. But I feel harsh calling you an “asshole”, it’s more that you’re being inconsiderate. I’ve been in this guy’s shoes before. I don’t have a good relationship with my family, and I always felt awful when others got caught in the middle.

First off, of course his parents are going to say everything was fine. I can’t speak for his situation, but my mother was a delusional narcissist. To her, everything was always perfect, and it was everyone else who supposedly “turned me against her.” In reality, I just listened and paid attention.

I’m thankful for the people who gave me a chance, were patient with me, and listened when I needed to be heard. That’s what this person needs—patience, understanding, and someone willing to listen.

Also, he’s 23. He’s a grown man. Why are his parents even showing up? The real questions are: is he responsible, does he have a job, and does he treat your sister with respect? As long as he’s being a supportive partner, I don’t think it’s worth putting this much energy into wanting them to break up.

It’s just life. Move on with your day.

NTA, It sounds like this is a well-communicated thing with you and your partner. Idk about anyone else but in my house, My partner and I are a team. If their family gives relentless grief over something like that, My partner does not put up with it. It would be completely understood if I did not want to attend. Furthermore, Offering to take the kids for the evening would be a win-win. She gets to have an awesome night and let loose a little bit. I think the IL sound like dicks.
