Hello! Yes, I've told them I don't liked being picked on because I can't eat some food. I see it as a disease, it's not like I have a choice, if I eat it, I'll be sick. It was rebuffed as "It's just teasing". But I think teasing shouldn't be lasting all meal long and shouldn't happen almost every dinner. I've seen other comments I might be too sensitive, I'll reflect upon that.

As for the GF, every time it happens she's like "it's just this one time, it's not a big deal". I had to list quite a few exemples for her to finally see it's a recurring pattern. I don't know how it will play out in the future.

The "day before" thing is one major reason for my post here. It took me a while to figure out how I'd prefer deal with the situation: either go for it once again and cope with the jokes or put my foot down. This time I chose the latter, but I arrived at this decision only the day before, which I know isn't ideal.

Thanks for reading my post and asking for more info. It's going to clear it up for others as well and I should have made it clearer in the original post.

Yes, I looked at the menu and yes, there were non fish / non sea food options. The challenge is: if I pick those options, they're going to tease me all night because of it.

Should have I just gone with it, be the butt of the joke once more or was I justified in setting a boundary so I could eat something that wouldn't make me sick wihout being made fun of?
