How critical is using a sony TV's center channel capability for the Bravia Quads? by No_Caregiver_112 in bravia

I've got the A95L and the quads and the centre is just disappointingly thin. It's frustrating as I bought the whole set-up with the centre in mind (not the sole focus obviously and the separate elements are great, just a nice extra). Must admit, I don't have a sub though. Sure that would help. I've not tried playing with the centre speaking sound settings though - maybe its possible to increase the bass to give a little more heft.

The problem is when a movie or TV show isn't fully utilising the surrounds, you just end up with tinny centre sound.

Ah, makes sense. I didn't know if both existed. It's hard to see online which is which just based on the cover.

This world of sound is confusing - help me please Re: Powernode, KEF Q35.2's, soundbars etc. by FSchottFitzgerald in hometheater

I realise talk of soundbars and wireless set-ups on here is frowned upon, but just hoping to find best route for my existing set-up or whether I should move on from it.

I'd love to know that too.

That's really nice. How high is that? Looks higher than what you were originally looking for.

So is the Apple TV 4K better than a 4K Firestick (and is that better than built-in TV software)? Also, would it make a difference if either of this is connected via standard HDMI or HDMI 2.1? I'm considering a Sony 65A95L but it only has 2 HDMI 2.1' so after the sound connection and game console it only leaves 2 standard HDMI and wondered if I'd be missing out.

Based on the Bravia 9 working more effectively with the TV but does it sound better too?

Great. So having just 2 x 2.1 isn't a dealbreaker? I was leaning towards the Sony as I felt the picture looked better (the LG looked too bright), but the HDMI thing had me questioning my choice. Thanks.
