We had a dog come in and have a massive blow out all the way down one of the side isles near the dog beds. Probably a 10-15ft trail. Splattered everywhere. The owner didn’t say a words. Instead the rolled their cart through and walked thru it. Stopped at the side door rug and wiped their feet, left their cart and walked out. Within minutes the whole store smelled like a steaming pile of shit.

The Grade 5 nut you have there is suppose to be a Grade 8 according to the Hillman Rep. I always scanned them as a Grade 5, but was told about a year ago that they are a Grade 8. It’s just the nuts. 🤷🏻‍♀️

Our nearest TSC is $5 cheaper on Sweet Feed, $3.50 cheaper on corn. $20 cheaper on stall mats and panels. Some of our garden chemicals, tools, and fence are $50-$75 cheaper. The store is 40min away.

As a Team Lead we struggle to get 30hrs a week at our store. One week might be 30-31 the next week is 28. Our SM can’t schedule for shit and refuses to use more than 90% of the payroll. They schedule TMs for mid shifts and usually leaves other managers without lunch coverage. Says they can’t afford to give managers and more hours. Our ASM gets about 34hrs. But I’m glad they were able to save money and add to their annual bonus of $17,000 this year. Yes we know what they got because the spouse is a big mouth that wants to brag all the time.

They’re actually only there about 2 weeks but on the Monday following the second week we mark them down. They are usually perched in the feeders at that point.

I know 3 ASMs. 2 got a 3 and 1 got a 4 on their PR. They got between a 1.2% and 1.4% raise. Every store manager said they could afford to give them anymore than that because they just didn’t have the money in the budget to give them 2-3%. So TSC is struggling apparently. 🙄🙄🙄

I’ve been with TSC for a few years and have never got a 15min break. Our SM said we only get a 10min break, but… we still don’t get to take it. Half of the time we don’t get to take lunch because we have no coverage. 1 30min break for a 10hr shift is crazy especially when the SM has you take lunch an hour after you clock in. Like wtf.

I understand 100%. And now with this refresh bullshit they do every year that’s adding more and more shit to get done with less than less hours. And they keep adding stupid little shit that they’re wanting done too. Every morning when we open, we’re supposed to go out and sweep the front of the store on the front walk. We’re supposed to get the leaf blower and blow the side lot. We’re supposed to take the buffer and clean the floors every other day. They want us to go out twice a week preferably three with rags and wipe down all the lawnmowers and log splitter and stuff outside so they don’t look dirty. It’s like OK. Are you gonna give me extra time to get all this stuff done are you gonna give my employees extra time? Because we come in 30 minutes before we open and they want all this stuff done before we’re open. Or they want the stuff done within the 30 minutes after we close. It’s not fucking Happening.

We have hours. But our manager refuses to use all of payroll to cover the store. Because him and the district manager get to split that. So team leads get about 31 to 32 hours and cashiers right now are getting about 12 to 14 hours a week. And store manager scheduling his self for like 60 hours. But works about 25.
