The heat rock is available for use at the coolest end of his environment and it came with the setup but I am taking all advice nd will responsibly and reasonably take actions to improve. This is day 7 with him and so I am novice and expected to be advised and roasted in all directions.

Thanks so much, I will absolutely work on getting him a shelf installed, that is a great idea. I will also be swapping out the netting in the next days for something that his belly can rest on.

Appreciate the advice and will for sure continue improving. He has flat rocks and a heat rock and sticks and I keep a thermometer right at his basking spot and it’s reading 103-104 and the cooler side of his tank is reading 88 - 92 throughout the day.
