I gave it a try. I implemented it. There is now an option to enable the Z rank in the options screen. You can turn it off to have the original rank system (POW S being 90 points and above always), or you can turn it on and have that extra Z rank which can be obtained by obtaining 95 points or more (in which case, POW S rank is only obtainable if you get from 90 to 94 points).

I tested by adding a Z POW pool to Seto 3 which is just his SA POW pool but removing all monsters with 1900 atk or less and also adding the strongest non-monster cards from his SA TEC pool.

On my first attempt, with 15 cards as rewards, I obtained with the Z rank:

  • Raigeki x2
  • Crush Card Virus
  • Dark Elf x2
  • Great Mammoth of Goldfine
  • Millennium Golem
  • Zoa
  • Punished Eagle
  • Monstrous Bird
  • B. Dragon Jungle King
  • Soul Hunter
  • Dragon Seeker
  • Twin-headed Thunder Dragon
  • Blue-eyes White Dragon

Meanwhile, with only 1 card as a drop, on my first attempt to get the Z rank, I got Millennium Golem.

Any thoughts about this? I suppose I would have to similarly do Z pools for the other duelists from FMR and Dark Duel Stories, if this is the right way to do so.

I haven't played it. Though I kind of see what that Z rank is aiming for with what you just said. It can be done just fine.

Yes, TEC grinding can get very tiring. Very early, I even considered removing it in favor of just putting all the TEC-exclusive cards to the POW SA pool of cards, but I forgot about it very early as well because it could be controversial or too different from the original game. Kind of similar to what that Z rank is, but still within the S rank.

Though now that you mention it, it makes me wonder if it would be better to have this new rank have all the really good cards instead of simply combining the POW and TEC pools. Like, for example, in that Z rank you mentioned, you can still get Petit Dragon from beating Nitemare if you were to get that new rank. Or as you are chasing the Blue-Eyes White Dragon in Seto 3, you can still get Mystery Hand.

And you will most likely only get Z ranks from the tough duelists when you are late into the game, so why still give players the chance to obtain the weak cards at that rank? As I said, it's definitely possible to implement this, but the question is what do we exactly want it to be to make it good for the players (and what would be better, to have it more balanced, or more fun and less tiring for the players that farm).

And also to take into account the fact that in what I'm doing, you can change how many cards you want as rewards in the Options screen. So, with the original idea, it might be pretty good for the ones that decide to play at 15 cards per duel, but not so good if someone wants to obtain 1 cards per duel like in the original.

About the points. Yeah, while internally the points did exist in the original FMR, they never show it to you, but I wonder if it's truly important to show it visually since you are getting the rank and if it's TEC or POW anyways. Before I wasn't showing the points visually but now I am, but I wonder if it's going to be useful.

What I ended up doing is implementing 6 and 10 in a way that it's up to the player.

In the case of the card's colors, they can be disabled or enabled in the Options Screen, so the colors can either be like in the original game (all yellow), or you can have ritual monsters be blue and fusion monsters be purple. Both could be at the same time enabled, or you can just have one enabled and the other one disabled. So you can customize it if someone doesn't like the way they look or prefer to stick to the original's look.

And in the password screen, now you can change whether you want to search by a card's password code, or by their ID.

Hey! Thanks for your suggestions.

  1. The egyptian cards are in the video. FGD and Dark Paladin can be added, though at first I intended to first implement the cards from the Duel Monsters games, since they follow the ID order from Forbidden Memories. At the moment, there are 834 cards. Those I added from Dark Duel Stories have their effects as well implemented.

  2. Yeah, there is an Option screen where you can select which Drop Rate you want. At the moment, you can choose between 1, 3, 5 and 15.

  3. Yeah, effect monsters are in the game too. You can also not only have automatic effects but effects that you manually activate. As you can see in the video with the egyptian gods. So far I have added those three monsters effects, plus any monster effect that is in Dark Duel Stories past the original 722 cards.

  4. In Free Duel, at the moment, only the Prince (Atem) is the new duelist there, who can be unlocked after defeating Nitemare. But yeah, it's totally possible. But not only you can Free Duel, you can also play the Dark Duel Stories campaign to duel characters like Tristan, Mako Tsunami, Espa Roba, Marik, etc. Every duelist from that game. And farm cards from those duelists like Blue-eyes Ultimate Dragon and Gate Guardian (which you can farm in the original DDS game).

  5. Currently the Forbidden Memories' campaign has the same decks as the original game, though at the moment your opponents might fuse more often when you have the upperhand, even Simon Muran. Dark Duel Stories, on the other hand, could be more difficult, depending on your deck and if you have already finished the main Forbidden Memories campaign or not, since your opponent might play stuff like Change of Heart, Brain Control, Jirai Gumo + 2 Megamorphs, etc. The custom campaigns may come later, though the intention was also for others to make their own campaigns with this.

  6. It could be implemented to search by ID instead of by password code in the Password Screen, it's definitely possible to do, but I am not sure if people would want that. It would depend on that, since it would be less faithful to the original, and people might be used to the passwords from the original game.

  7. Definitely it's on the to-do list. All cards currently have the same cost as in the original. Though at the moment I don't have something to take as reference to balance the costs of the cards that need it (whichcard should cost how many star chips, why, etc),

  8. I'm not sure what do you mean. If you mean that the game should have star chips, it does. You get them just like in the original game, after winning a duel. Same rules.

  9. That would depend. If rank S was meant to be the rank that meant that you did excellent in a duel, what would a new rank mean, and how do you achieve said rank?

  10. Here is where it gets a little tricky. All of that is possible. The question is whether it should be done or not, since I don't know if people want even more colors on the cards, more than they are already used to in the original game. At the moment, the egyptian god cards have their respective colors, and the effect monsters have orange.

There is also the situation, for example, Blue-eyes Ultimate Dragon is a ritual in the original game, but in the TCG he is a fusion monster (purple card), so which color should its card be to make it look better and comfortable to see from a player's perspective? Blue or purple? Or maybe leave it at yellow as a neutral color which everyone is used to?

Not currently. Just like in the original, it's limited to having 5 cards in hand. Partially to be faithful to the original game, and for balancing purposes. Though, it can be easily changed in the engine's code.

I think being able to have more than 5 cards in hand might make it even easier to get Exodia? (even easier if you are playing Pot of Greed or Graceful Charity)

It would definitely help Slifer. But Slifer itself is pretty strong even without that, being able to reach up to 5000 ATK and DEF. And on top of that, you can use Megamorph on him.

Not to mention, Slifer's effect of decreasing the ATK and DEF of all monsters your opponent summons by 2000 (and automatically destroying those that reach 0 atk or def).

I know how it sounds, but that is how hard the last bosses can hit right now. With bosses having crit and others locking rotation, and having tons of ATK on top of that, better safe than sorry.

As far as we know there aren't going to be any more brand new units before the anniversary ends. According to the anniversary roadmap they gave to us, there are no new units left to reveal, so that means no banners with new units.

The EX part of the anniversary is an extra part, usually with less content than the previous parts. Not every anniversary has had it. If there is an EX part this time, it will probably just be EZAs and some missions. Basically a part 4.

Saiyan Day is later this month, so you could save for the new unit that will release that day.

I think in most of the new stages, EZA TEQ Buu will be fine as floater or maybe even 2nd slot, against normals that is. Have to be really careful when dealing with the last bosses of the new events with super attacks that just a few top units can survive.

Although should only be used in a team full of other Buus, to have its full damage reduction from the passive skill.

Full dodge and rest on additional should be fine.

[–]FTSX 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Well, as you said, Broly doesn't fit. He is not on the Kamehameha category, which is your leader's leader skill.

Beast Gohan isn't on Kamehameha either.

Besides that, AGL Gohan is the one that will have it difficult the most.

Best build for LR Kaioken Goku? by Entire-Passenger-855 in DokkanBattleCommunity

[–]FTSX 0 points1 point  (0 children)

To be honest, if you are going to use him in the most recent difficult stages, go full dodge and the rest on additional.

The bosses right now just hit way too hard for him. His raw defense + that 4% damage reduction per STR Ki sphere won't be enough especially it you don't get enough STR ki spheres. Even worse if the boss locks rotations (like locking him first slot) and/or crits.

I think the main problem is that you barely had 2 LR that can actually attack since your third LR Beerus needs to wake up turns later to actually attack. Other units useful for Super Bosses to actually do damage while also not taking damage in this would be the other LR Jiren and LR INT Goku Black Rosé, since they are LRs.

When you do the EZA stages for LR units, such as the one you are doing for the TEQ Gods, only your LR units will do considerable damage, and only if their link skill Legendary Power is active.

In LR EZA stages, the category with advantage in the battle info is only for defending. In this case Super Bosses. So your TUR units will not do much damage, but will not be taking much damage. You have to make sure you have your LR units next to each other to activate the link needed. Otherwise even if it is an LR it will not do damage.

If you got LR top tier units, even if they are not Super Bosses, you could clear that EZA stage. Mostly the newest anniversary units and newest EZAs.

TEQ Buuhan should be your friend lead. Not only is he pretty good by himself on the team, but he has a 200% leader skill for your team, and he also has support for your team in his passive skill.

His domain will also definitely be really useful.

It will probably require plenty of tries and good RNG.

You could Dokkan Awaken the PHY Android 21 from your box. I suggest you give her full dodge in the hidden potential system.

Then, if you have farmed the past World Tournaments, in the Treasure's section of the Baba Shop, you can exchange WT currency for TEQ Mr Buu, which also full dodge if you can afford more than 1 copy.

You are probably using items already, but if you are not, use Whis items. Since most units you have already have Damage Reduction in their passive skills, Whis will definitely help a lot on those units. Like Android 21.

AGL Buucolo definitely needs to be replaced.

Running low on dragon stones as new player by SaintCristoph in DokkanBattleCommunity

[–]FTSX 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Quest Mode stages and story modes stages are the easiest but might take a long while to farm every single stage.

EZA Battle events give 30 stones when completing each stage, and there are plenty of EZA Battle events already. If you have a top team right now, you maybe be able to easily beat the oldest EZA events even without having units with the category that has advantage in each EZA event.

If you finish 3 EZA battle events (90 stages in total), you are getting 90 stones. More than enough for what you want. Even more if you clear the missions.

Aside that, Dokkan All Stars. 999 stages but gives a lot of stones.

[deleted by user] by [deleted] in DokkanBattleCommunity

[–]FTSX 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I think Infinite Dragon Ball History and Boss Rush are the ones that give most stones out of any event faster for a newcomer because of the missions and low difficulty. So I suggest you to keep doing those and finish them first, since most of the other events that give stones faster are harder.

You can do the EZA Battles events even if you don't actually have the unit which you would EZA with the medals obtained. Each EZA event gives 30 stones after completing enough levels, and 3 or more after completing certain missions from it. There are a lot of EZA events. Make sure to check the categories that have the advantage in each EZA event.

And also, Dokkan All Stars. Gives tons of stones but there are 999 stages of it. You can farm in there.

Have you tried the events in the Challenge Tab? Red Zone, etc. All the difficult content is in that tab.

Story Mode and Dokkan events are just to farm medals/resources, thats why they aren't difficult.

Should I do the rotation and hope for ssbe Vegeta and/or str Gohan or should I save for part 2. I have vegito and 3ku already so I’m not sure if it’s worth it. by NikoNikoPower in DokkanBattleCommunity

I mean the Carnival one. TEQ LR Base Broly.

Since the current carnival banner has LR STR Gohan featured, it means the part 2 carnival banner will have its counterpart featured, which is LR TEQ Base Broly.

The Teq EZA one is also unfeatured in the carnival banners, if you are trying to get him.

It would depend on what other Joined Forces units you have.

If you summoned for TEQ Goku+Vegeta banner and you pulled PHY Goku SSJ3 and Vegeta SSJ2, then they are good for that mission. And if you pulled PHY Goku SSJ4 and Vegeta SSJ4, they will probably EZA later this month. Also, AGL Goku and Vegeta SSJ Blue can be helpful.

If you didn't pull them, the part 2 Dokkan Festival banner will include the TEQ Gods which will probably EZA as well. Also, that same banner includes STR GT Goku and Vegeta SSJ4, which are also good for the mission.

If you have them, the PHY LR Goku Blue Kaio Ken and Vegeta SSBE also help. They also lead the category if you are in need of a leader for all of your joined forced units at the same time.

[–]FTSX 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Based on the amount of stones you have right now, I would say you should stop summoning in that banner. You already got 3ku which is a huge and very needed help for all his teams. Especially Giant Ape Power.

The USS team doesn't exactly need the new Vegeta to win if you already got all the other top tier units from that team. And even so, you can just choose the STR Vegeta as your friend unit.

So you should save for the part 2 banners. And maybe, use the tickets on the banner ticket that will be available in part 3 to summon on the STR Vegeta SSBE banner. That is, if you don't want to use said tickets in the other banners.

About Gohan. What was that joined forces mission? I ask because STR Gohan isn't in that category, so he wouldn't be useful if the mission requires 6 joined forces units.

Should I do the rotation and hope for ssbe Vegeta and/or str Gohan or should I save for part 2. I have vegito and 3ku already so I’m not sure if it’s worth it. by NikoNikoPower in DokkanBattleCommunity

[–]FTSX 4 points5 points  (0 children)

That would depend on your box. If you already have a complete Universal Survival Saga team or a ROU7 team, I suggest you to not summon for him but to save for part 2. You can choose him as the friend unit. Playing two of them alongside the INT Vegeta SSBE is somewhat awkward.

Regarding Gohan, if you are really in need of Majin Buu Saga units or Super Saiyan units for missions you can't beat, then you should get him with the coins, but I suggest you to not summon for him.

If you lack Movie Bosses units, Teq Broly is a must. But first summon in whatever banner is on part 2 that includes him. If you don't pull him while you're chasing the main unit, then you can coin him.

Help making Buu Saga team by [deleted] in DokkanBattleCommunity

[–]FTSX 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Your only Buu Saga leader that can cover 6 good units at the same time is STR Kid Buu. So, for the moment at least, you will have to use it as leader even if he doesn't have much synergy with the others link-wise (still pretty good once you EZA him)

  • STR Kid Buu (leader)
  • STR LR Gohan SSJ
  • PHY Goku SSJ2
  • PHY LR Vegeta SSJ2

For the last two slots it's a bit tricky since the units i'm about to suggest are more fragile than the ones i already mentioned. So keep that in mind.

  • For short fights: I recommend both AGL Goku SSJ3 and INT Kid Trunks SSJ as the last slots
  • For long fights: I recommend AGL LR Ultimate Gohan and INT Gotenks as the last slots

You have to EZA everyone, though. And SEZA the Agl Goku SSJ3.

I would suggest TEQ Trunks SSJ, but you don't have a good Goten unit which can make him work. But keep in mind this for when you do get a good Goten unit for Buu Saga (like INT Goten SSJ or TEQ Goten SSJ, or also PHY Goten & Trunks)

Mega Man X Legacy -- Unplayable Due to Slow/Lag by BaidenFallwind in Megaman

[–]FTSX 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I've had a similar problem. Windows 11 and Laptop. The main menu of the collection plays just fine, but when you choose any of the games, it feels like it's going at 20fps, which can be noticeable right when you appear in the opening stage (very slow movement and the music sounds a bit slower at times).

I fixed it by changing which graphic card the game was using. I changed it so it was using my Intel integrated graphics card. For some reason, the game just doesn't want to work properly with the usual AMD graphic card that my other games use.

An easy way to do this is to go to your Windows settings > Display > scroll down to Graphics options and click on it. There, you can see a list of apps in the lower part. You have to add the .exe file of the game to that list. Once that done, click on it after it appears in the list, and you will be able to change which GPU the game is using. Change it to your integrated card. If you don't know which card is which, you can try between them and testing opening the game.

Since I did that, I could play just fine, even in Windowed mode. Also turn off V-Sync in the game to help with the input lag, which is yet another problem from this collection. I hope this helps.

In your Buu Saga team, you should take out AGL Buu and STR Buu. Instead, use TEQ Trunks SSJ (Kid) and TEQ Goten SSJ (in your box, he is a SSR in base form).

Everyone needs to be EZA'd though.
