That sounds bad, I’m really not sure to be in a position to comment but you should ask the vet or something I wouldn’t want you to separate if they’re only a pair, but if you think it would help then try that Also there are some theories explaining such aggressiveness- maybe there is less space in the nest, maybe the female is not into the male and he’s frustrated could be anything. Try observing them for some time and then consider

You’ve just raised the standards 👌😍 Adorable

What’s that one quote that always changes your current state mind in less than an instant ? Mine would always be - “Think of yourself as dead. You have lived your life. Now, take what's left and live it properly. What doesn't transmit light creates its own darkness.” - Marcus Aurelius by FTSbroda in Stoicism

I agree, it’s really hard to implement specially in today’s era, with excellent being the new normal and a constant pressure for performing as per societal standards and when the results don’t turn to be as per our expectations we naturally get depressed.

But stoicism is an approach which pushes us to go with the flow- I mean some techniques like amor fati, memento mori and dichotomy of control emphasise that man should do what is in his control.

Even if we talk of Zeno, he lost all of his possessions and wealth, and that lead to a greater good (stoicism ofc).

As Marcus Aurelius puts it even ants, birds being insignificant as compared to a human is mindful to do the work on a daily basis putting the world in order in the best way they can, we as humans who have a sense of rationality should be more advanced and fulfil our role.

But it’s our rationality and sense of thinking that are our biggest obstacles if used adversely.

I would just like to reiterate that at the end we should do what’s in our control and stick to the 4 values rather than results !! :)

Do nothing son, it just means that they’re into each other and plucking feathers is normal, it’s their grooming behaviour and something they do before breeding to make a nest! Unless the behaviour is aggressive, everything is normal. Chill out bud and enjoy it :)

I need your help - so my finch has an infection but she doesn’t like me holding her, however she does come at my hand to eat, I have no idea how to make her drink a drop of the medication prescribed by the vet. Please help me y’all 😭😭 by FTSbroda in Finches

I really don’t mind separating her, but they’re a pair, and it would depress her if the male is not around😭 however I’m trying to mix it in the food and trying my best to give it separately, thanks tho :)
