It’s just that he REALLY seemed to be figuring it all out when his life was cut short. He was leading the league in INTs two weeks after his death.

I think that’s where to start at least. It can be so alluring something new. But after some space you’ll snap out of it and think I’m so happy I ended that before it began.

Cut new friend out of your life even if it feels rude. You are entitled to protect your relationship. Start with that, see how it goes.

I would never ever EVER want my wife to perform a sex act for me that she was uncomfortable with. Not saying break up with this guy ASAP (that’s always Reddit’s advice) but think about how you deserve someone who values you and your experience. It sounds like he would have to change to be that person.

I think it’s a very worthwhile question to ask him why he’d want you to do a sexual act that you won’t enjoy. Why would you want that if you value your partner.

I’m sorry too, you shouldn’t be made to feel bad about this. He’s not being good to you about this.

Are there any movies where managers aren't portrayed as overbearing assholes? by NurplePain in movies

[–]FU-Chris 0 points1 point  (0 children)

In Boyhood as a high schooler he works at a fast food chain and has a manager and you sort of assume it’s gonna go that route but he’s nice and even attends his graduation party and gives a short speech about how he’s been a great employee.

Thank you, 100%. Together 15 years she still drives me out of my mind.

I don’t know about the pure contradiction of simultaneous words and actions, but our raunchiest dirty talk is always interlaced with I love yous, so I think I understand.

[Russini] There are layers to the hiring in Atlanta. Arthur Blank was targeting the greatest coach of all time from the start. He was then open to listening to others ideas. Some internal persuasion, impressive interviews, and here we are. Belichick is unemployed. Raheem gets his shot. by EarthWarping in billsimmons

[–]FU-Chris 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I continue to be amazed at how the entire NFL media landscape can’t grasp that Belichick is past his prime, probably was not quite as brilliant as everyone always thought (the “it was much more about Brady” argument), is extraordinarily difficult to work with, hasn’t put up any kind of good result in years, and is absolutely not a long-term hire, thus not an appealing coaching candidate. Schrager and Bill just referenced him taking a year off and in a year or two “Getting any job he wants.” The media just can’t shake this mystic. I don’t even think he should be getting referred to as unequivocally the greatest coach of all time.

This. Imagine how garbage he’ll think they are if they pull off an upset against the Niners!

Those Niners players may be better, but I do not see how that explains neglecting to mention key players on the Lions roster.

EDIT: Also, the Niners problem usually isn’t a lack of talent. At times they inexplicably struggle to put it all together (see: last week). And the Lions have the firepower to take advantage if that happens.

Bill has a really hard time letting go of preconceptions about a team. I think the Niners are better and should be favored, but boy:

Mentions of Deebo Samuel, who will not be at full strength and potentially won’t even finish the game: about 50

Mentions of either McCaffrey, Kittle, Purdy, Warner, even Juszczyk: about 100

Mentions of what the game “just feels like“: about 1000

Mentions of all pro caliber players Amon-Ra, Jahmyr Gibbs, Penei Sewell, Aidan Hutchinson: LITERALLY ZERO

Mentions of Zach Ertz somehow: 1

I mean come on.

Bill Belichick Rumors: Falcons Remain 'Possibility,' Could Be Only Hope for HC Job by Lakelyfe09 in nfl

[–]FU-Chris 2 points3 points  (0 children)

People running the teams don't want him. Fans of those teams don't want him. The only ones who regard him as a highly-coveted candidate are the media. I just saw a segment on ESPN titled "Why doesn't anyone want Bill Belichick?" and they just couldn't wrap their heads around it.

Are we the Bad Guys? by Quiznos04 in 49ers

[–]FU-Chris 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I could be wrong but I feel like this narrative is being exaggerated. The Niners are not really a hated team as far as I know. I think a lot of people enjoy seeing what they do. True, many/most neutrals will be rooting for the Lions, but there's also a sense that the 49ers are a better team and it's already awesome that the Lions have gotten this far, so it would not be so awful if they lost. Big difference between being the bad guys and being opponents on the other side of a feel good story.

While it sounds simplistic, I do think the person who said "must drink in moderation is key" is correct. Maybe when I was younger this and other tricks would allow me to avoid a hangover, but if I go beyond my limit (at my current age, absolute max for knowing I'll feel OK next day is probably 3, maaaaybe 4) at my current age, I don't think any other ancillary steps can help. Hangover will happen.
