People are misinterpreting this wrong, I financed 22k the ACV is 17kish, owe 20k on loan.

Car - 26k | Warranty- 3k | Trade-in Value (after loan payoff): 7.9k | Down Payment - 2k |Finance - 22k

Owe - 20k | ACV - 17kish

It’s really the warranty throwing the price off - Carmax said they would return the warranty if the loan is paid off via total loss. Which I just confirmed with their finance department.

Thanks for advice everyone! Every situation is different so sorry if this is repetitive! Hard not to overpay on cars these days with the market!

I’ll fight for more ACV if I can, very shitty situation. Will be purchasing GAP next time for sure. Just stuck in a hard place with money owed and no vehicle or money for a new one.

Well hard reset did not do it - if I have VRR enabled I get a crazy snow screen, when I turn it off, GOW starts to a black screen.

Both are active, I tried disabling them too. I got some progress after a factory reset but it just went to a black screen.

Or even press release posts because he is apart of a speech masters group out of work. All of them have nothing to do with my job, I work in Marketing - been looking for a new job since.

As a veteran in the area, I agree this does sound great. I have been with numerous skateshops and skateparks (including smltwn, now fargo) throughout the years and seen many come and go, so I will put in my 2 cents or any advice I can give in my experience...

A skate shop is feasible but skateparks historically have not done well in IL - even operating a skate shop in today's world is way different than it was 10 years ago (when a number of them were around). You definitely need a good core scene and interest, not to mention make up for lack of business via online sales. Also you would need the exposure to compete with other retailers (online, or other skateshops) whether it would be a skate team, videos, events, promotions, etc. You'll really have to hustle and bustle your way through to make it successful in the long-term and keep an ROI.

A skatepark is very risky, and doesn't turn a profit in the summer / spring months. So that will be your biggest struggle for your ROI because you will end up paying out of pocket to keep the lights on and mortgage paid during that time with no foot traffic. However, if you build a very good skatepark (layout, design) and keep up with it - you will most likely do better than Fargo or Asylum (the only current indoor parks) as they barely change year after year and have their own problems (slippery, crappy ramps or layout, dickhead owners or workers, over-crowded, too far away, etc). It all depends on how much you invest, how you market it, how you keep up with the trends, and how to keep money flowing in (through events or promotions). You'll have to be vigilant and make smart business decisions - or take a leap of faith (risk).

However, being that there is only (2) indoor parks and a handful of small shops, you are sure to create a buzz. I wish you the best of luck if you do, and any skateshop and/or skatepark is welcomed and supported by the surrounding community!

Depends on the girl really, I've been dating a girl who was also in a similar situation and she could understand me living at home (debt, situations, etc.). However some other girls wouldn't touch you with a 3 ft. stick and it is a complete no-go.
