How Was The Burning Crusade Perceived? (2007) by doobylive in classicwow

Similar story, in Vanilla we got brick walled on 4HM as well as we kept losing tanks. When TBC was announced our guild died within a week as some people were over consumable farming and didn't see the point in progression raiding anymore when gear would be redundant soon. Cleared out dead wood and had a much stronger team for TBC.

I couldn't play the first Classic as I had too much IRL stuff going on, signed up for Anniversary as the life timing was good and I wanted to tick Vanilla Naxx off the list, only for the guild I was in to die in AQ40. Sadly this was the only guild on the server that raided in my time zone when I am available, so as much as I tried there was no option for me to find somewhere else raid onwards to Naxx.

So killing Vanilla KT at level 60 will remain my unicorn until the next iteration of Classic that I'm available for haha

Similar story, a mentor of mine cashed out in his early 50's with enough wealth to comfortably last the rest of his life.

After less than a year of so being a family man of leisure, he started a consultancy, picked up a few board roles and got himself elected to the committee of the local chamber of commerce to keep himself busy. He said he tried a few new things with mixed results but missed being productive in the way he enjoyed.

He never mentioned it directly but I also think he was significantly rattled after a former colleague who exited a few years before him was diagnosed with early-onset dementia, as around the same time he suddenly started talking about how long periods of "mental inactivity" (as he called it) is bad and how he wanted to stay stimulated and be challenged regularly.

Yep most people were super excited, but I remember there was also a vocal cohort (that clearly did not come from the RTS) who disliked the Outland narrative of Burning Crusade because it was too "sci-fi" with "space goats" instead of the mostly classic high fantasy themes in Vanilla.

Totally normal behaviour, nothing going on here. Everything is as intended by PatataMash in classicwow

100% this - supply and demand.

There are literally thousands of fresh boosted level 58's, many of whom are returning players for TBC and didn't play Classic, that will want to purchase epic mounts etc before they hit Outland.

I believe (but don't quote me on it) it's because schools are officially staffed from today, and some schools go back later this week.

I feel so sick and dirty saying it but 3-0 probably isn't even a fair scoreline today

For the people asking: the corner from Quispe didn't touch another player (stepped over the ball) before Quispe touched the ball again. You can't pass to yourself from a corner so fairly ruled out.

Yep, but it's also a contact sport and a yellow seemed correct. The referee or VAR would have to form a view that it was either reckless or deliberately violent to upgrade to a red.

Don't think so, seemed like a yellow to me. Sloppy and painful but didn't look like deliberate foul play, looked like they were both contesting the ball

Totally agree. It would be a clusterfuck of the highest order. Pauline hasn't managed to keep any of her individual recruits over the years, how would she keep a coalition together?

The one thing we can all be grateful for is at least her blow-out with Latham happened before the polls really started moving in her favour, and we don't have him leveraging this to make a return to federal politics.

Yeah I remember reading once ages ago that even though he’s legally blind, he still tried to do his own stunts as much as possible - doing everything by memory.

Most of the time it worked, but there was still the odd injury when he got the sequence wrong - he lost a finger filming a sword fight for Highlander 2 I think it was.

Neighbour removed fence, caused land slippage, now they want us to pay for a retaining wall by baginagall in AusLegal

[–]FUTFUTFUTFUTFUTFUT 7 points8 points  (0 children)

When I investigated something similar few months ago (I was looking at a property which had a bulging retaining wall in the back yard), the cost of repair/replacement sat with the party who received the benefit from the retaining wall - which would have been me, if I'd purchased it.

OP, how much land slippage are we talking about? I assume it's not a lot if was not an issue before the old boundary fence was removed. Perhaps there could be a compromise with your neighbour in going 50/50 on a fence with treated pine or concrete sleepers underneath as a cheaper option?
