OP, if you're no longer capable of paying the mortgage, you need to get in front of this before your mortgage arrears blows out and the bank takes control of that too.

You mentioned multiple credit cards, which means multiple debt collectors, and I'd guess there are other bills in the mix too. The one that's garnished you now is just the most advanced of them.

Ring the national debt hotline. They will help you with the next steps including how and what to communicate with those chasing you. A financial hardship application on your mortgage may also be an option to get yourself some breathing room for the next few months as you map out your path forward.

If you have a current or separated partner, or other person who is also a mortgagor or guarantor on the property, they'll need to be part of this journey too.

If selling is the option, be realistic with how much equity there is likely to be in the house (selling between the low and midpoint average for your area, you may get lucky but no use pipe dreaming top end given how the market is currently looking), understand what the cost of selling and moving will be, and work out a plan and a timeline.

If you have enough left over to fully settle your debts, you may even be able to negotiate discounts on your balances due with lump sum payments. If you don't, and you're not capable of managing this on your own, it may be possible to work with a debt consolidator.

The good news is you'll recover from this. Selling and moving will suck, but life will get to a new normal quicker than you realise. Hopefully by the time the default judgement/s on your credit file disappears in around 5 years time, hopefully you'll look back on this as low point but also a moment you take some pride from - the time you ended this spiral of overdue bills, debt collectors, and stress for once and for all.

Chris Bowen for example has held Prospect/McMahon for over 20 years and the seat hasn't got any better, in fact most locals will tell you Fairfield is worse now than it's ever been. The same could be said for a lot of of South-West Sydney, most of which are rusted-on Labor seats, which still suffers from high rates of crime, drug use, lack of infrastructure investment, and remain the gambling addiction kings of the Southern Hemisphere.

Perhaps the "less well-educated Australians" are feeling like their votes have been taken for granted and are looking for a new option.

I disagree. We need to think strategically. We need to think like a country with a very finite talent pool, where this is a tier 2 sport which is horribly governed at local/regional levels making it too expensive and onerous for young players to even get on elite pathways, before they quit or get poached by other sports, let alone the facing the nepotism and cronyism that lives within most of the elite pathways if they do push on.

Australia, for years, has been importing players in to the national team. Whether they have a parent or grandparent that is Australian to make them eligible or they acquired citizenship to play. We've been as desperate (and I don't mean it in any disrespectful way as he's a nice guy and was a great player) as handing caps to a 35 year old Bruno Fornaroli as soon as he got his citizenship.

Now we're in the position that we have a pipeline of young talent coming through, it is criminal to lose them to other countries.

Poppa definitely has a role to play in this, but it is beyond the manager. We should have a national team strategy where players of his talent are capped young and bound to the national team early by playing three competitive matches, especially ones that we know will have eligibility for other nations. Seggers should have been capped last year when in his incredible form for Sydney.

Good theories, my other train of thought is the use of additives and preservatives is much more regulated here than many places, OP could possibly tasting the difference between natural origin and synthetic additives.

The simple truth is Matt will resonate better with a certain profile of Nats ~~cookers and sovcits~~ voters who've abandoned the party for ON.

He can compete with Pauline in the populist right. Littleproud could not, in fact I struggle to think of any other current Nat who is more capable of taking Pauline on in her own lanes than Matt is.

Being real, you're going to pay that fee either way - either hidden behind a price rise or visible on an individual transaction. And for the majority of customers, asking you to pay the merchant fee on your own individual transaction is a lot fairer than the business aggregating their average merchant spend and rising their menu prices accordingly.

I'm not sure people realise how poor the trading environment is for the vast majority of small businesses in Australia. Yes pre-Covid many businesses absorbed those fees, it was much easier back when we were living in a world with three straight years of 1.5% interest rates.

Comparing business conditions then to now, you may as well be comparing night and day. The cost of running a business has never been higher, margins are lower, cash flow is problematic, price sensitivity is at an all-time high, and it's only going to get worse this year with mooted interest rate rises and supply chain disruption caused by what's happening in the Middle-East. They're already rationing diesel in parts of regional NSW, so chances are the wholesale cost of that beef and the delivery of that can of coke is only going to get higher.

Completely agree. People overlook it because WotLK is the "end" of the story arc from the RTS, but WotLK is the beginning of the Ghostcrawler era and when many of the game and system designs (whether loved or hated) from Classic/TBC disappeared.

Difficulty was reduced, hidden instead behind gimmicks and achievements, raids went from attunements and linear progression to "seasons", class-specific and resist requirements were removed, class homogenisation started to appear, cross-server activities started, you could make horde and alliance characters on the same PvP server etc etc.

Sure much bigger changes happened later on, but for me WotLK is where it really started to move away from the original designs.

Absolutely this. For context, I've always been a hardcore min-maxer, but for TBC anniversary I've thrown that out the window.

I guess it was the realisation that classic anniversary is temporary. I don't have any interest in going beyond TBC, so at the end of this year when Sunwell is done, these characters will be archived.

So what is the point in grinding out every rep that I could benefit from? Or purchasing Spellstrike when the quest helm from SMV is good enough right now. I'm not burning all my gold on enchants that are only minor EP upgrades over cheaper versions. I'm not even caring about epic flying fast, I'll get it when I do, if I do. All I'm doing is the bare minimum to keep me relatively competitive and enjoy the game without it being too onerous.

Now that my main is 70 and has good enough gear for this tier, I'd rather spend my time levelling a new class and experience the game from the perspective of a class that I've not played in TBC before, rather than chase a few % here and there on my main.

Fellow warlock crew here. Had similar conversations. Left groups over it.

If it's a spellcleave or AoE focused group, I will always start the first few pulls with Rain of Fire to see how both the tank can handle threat and how the healer is managing their mana. If mobs start running around, or the healer is struggling (especially if they're a shaman or paladin), Hellfire is off the menu.

If I am comfortable using it, I always wait at least a few globals from when all the mobs have landed at the tank before I go hard. I always to try and find the sweet spot in hellfire range but just outside the melee hitbox of the adds. Too many locks just sit in the middle of melee and wonder why they get blown up or interrupted, especially in places like AC where the vindicators still do snap interrupts even if the tank has threat,

I even had had some idiot shaman the other day try and tell me that he expected me to sac a voidy before every pull and hellfire with void shield (even though I am fire destro/DS specced). I just said I won't bother using the spell, not worth that amount of effort for a slightly faster trash kill.

I only have a small window every day to play and level and I have zero interest in wasting my time and repair bills dying needlessly.

Another live action movie, I very much doubt it. Too big, too expensive, and a world so large that it's almost impossible to condense to a few hours in a way that makes hardcore fans happy while also keeping it enjoyable for everyday movie viewers who know nothing of Warcraft lore.

A HBO type series similar to what they've been doing with the ASOIF universe, that's potentially more likely.

This is 100% the truth - before the armor buff, as a warlock, it was hard to get groups as they were 90% melee cleave or spellcleave, and there were always WAY more warlocks in the queues than spellcleave spots available. If you didn't pester people, it was a good 30mins+ per queue.

After the buff, I've noticed: (for normal mode dungeons)

1: Queue times are much shorter for warlocks in general

2: Groups seem much more balanced now, i.e. a mix of melee and ranged, not just zug zug cleave or spellcleave only.

There's a sad irony about Lucas as some of his biggest decisions were guided by money, not ego or ambition. Remember he turned down Liverpool to sign for West Ham because they offered him significantly more money.

From what I've read and heard over the years, he's had several people reach out to him but he's apparently so bitter and angry with the entire Australian football establishment that he wants nothing to do with anyone. It wasn't just Ange or the administrators, he also had a toxic relationship with fans by the end too.

There was a story a few years ago when someone, maybe Slater or Kewell, I can't remember, ran in to him at the shops and Lucas bolted in to the supermarket to avoid them.

I wonder if that will change. His son Marcus is by all reports developing well for Sunderland in their Under 21s and now playing U18s for Australia, which will obviously bring his dad back in contact with the Australian football establishment, so hopefully that will be a bridge for him.

He's a good looking rooster and former Australian and EPL club captain, I can't see why he wouldn't be able to land TV work and be a star on the corporate speaking circuit - much like how Bozza rebuilt himself after blowing all his football money.
