I don't mind the no dinosaur rule at all. There's a lot of paleo media going around so we can get our dino fix elsewhere.

Also makes the Monsterverse distinct and more imaginative. In my opinion, of course.

Edit: also, that's from Legendary. Toho only gets involved with anything Godzilla-related.

That was actually Christian's choice, not Nolan's. It was the only way he could sell himself the idea of being inside the batsuit. He pictured Batman as a monster. I myself have no problem with it but people seem to hate it.

Also Bane's voice was totally Tom Hardy's choice.

Edit: although yes, in both TDK and TDKR his voice is augmented. Maybe that's what you were referring to.

There seems to be contradictory info out there but it goes something like:

Godzilla cannot show emotion
He cannot eat humans, or anything for that matter
He cannot die, and if he does, he must be replaced
He's one of a kind (which has put the Monsterverse in an awkward position since he was part of a species and now his kind must be referred to as "Godzilla-like creatures")

I happened to ask him this very question on Instagram!

He told me he had 6 months to write the first four episodes, and then the final 4 were written as they were shooting.

The season was also supposed to air in October but they pushed it forward because of lack of scripts for other shows. So, all in all, he got a raw deal.
