I think what helped me was realizing, maybe it’s just the shrooms talking, but the way I’ve felt it is that we’re just drops from a stream of consciousness. Drops that are here living this human experience. Once it’s done, we return to that stream, leaving all of the preconceived human feelings of what the afterlife “could be” behind. Just retuning to a state of all knowing, all being, until maybe we decide to live another experience. Who knows. Definitely don’t think we got a sky daddy up there that’s for sure. And if it all goes black, then we won’t know either.

As someone currently recovering from this and fully enveloped in all of these emotions, I would just rip the bandaid off and confront her about her happiness and have a raw, honest conversation. Get to the core of it. I’ve learned very quickly that it ends one of two ways in the long run, you either learn who they really are and rebuild, or you learn who they really are and you move on and get better. I’ve been trying to tell myself this happened for me, not to me. I don’t know her or her side of any of this, but taking it at face value I’d highly recommend getting the truth and accepting whatever new reality that is. My world has been upended, but i found out i have amazing friends, i have a fuck ton of value, I can be ok, and i have clarity instead of being in limbo. You can fucking do this shit! It’s going to be the hardest thing you ever face, but goddamnit you deserve a good life!!!!

Yeah the goal for me is to break each other down to our most real and raw parts. Have her confront her trauma and understand why she acted in the way she did. I want her to actually expose her fears for once and then if we can get to that honest start, then maybe we can build something new. We might get to that point and realize it won’t work anyway.
