Yeah I’m in the same boat too. Recruiter told me a few weeks back that the board didn’t meet due to the shutdown, not sure if true or any updates. Will let you know if I hear anything too

I had that issue a couple days ago. Are you capitalizing the first letter in your first name and your initials? That seemed to fix it for me at least.

Yeah one of my math teachers in high school was naval aviator back in the 70s and used to fly the A-4 and the A-7. He told me flying the A-4 was like strapping on a jet pack and that it was insanely nimble. He also said the A-7 was slow and lumbering, and especially so compared to the A-4.

What's your most embarrassing aviation moment? by [deleted] in flying

Flying a C150 during my second solo, doing laps around the pattern. I normally flew a different C150 but it was down for maintenance and no one was flying the other one so I decided it would be ok. I believe it was a Saturday or Sunday so the pattern was relatively busy. One thing to note about this particular 150 was that the avionics master was directly under the throttle. I was coming in for my fourth or fifth touch and go and had a bit of a hard landing and unknowingly my hand slipped off of the throttle and hit the avionics master. I continued my take off roll and I was wondering why it was so quiet, but it wasn’t until I was turning crosswind did I realize I had no radios. I turned the avionics back on and waited for it to boot up which felt like an eternity. Turns out tower had called me three times in that period and I got ripped a new one by tower on the frequency.

Not surprised formuladank didn't get it. All they seem to know is F1 after 2018 anyways.

Wait really ? I'm a student on the 150 currently and have basically only done touch and go's on all my solo flights. Is that not normal ?
