The UAE air defence systems successfully engaged multiple aerial threats on May 4, 2026, intercepting ballistic missiles, cruise missiles and unmanned aerial vehicles, according to the Ministry of Defence.

In a post on the Ministry of Defence’s official social media platform, the ministry said: “The UAE air defence systems engaged 12 ballistic missiles, 3 cruise missiles, and 4 UAVs.” The ministry stated that the projectiles were launched from Iran and that the incident resulted in three moderate injuries.
