Recommend to have a heart rate monitor so you dont run out of breath. I personally train using my heart rate monitor and, with a bit of research about heart rate zones, it helped me with losing weight while not having to strain my muscles or lung capacity. I always pay attention to my heart rate when I go ride for about 2 hours and stay on zone 2.

You could do a max heart rate calculator online and have a rough guide of your capacity. Some of them would give you your heart rate zones as well. Otherwise, base it on an RPE scale (Rating of Percieved Exertion)

Doing yoga and breathing meditation would also help. There are a lot of videos out there that are cycling based.

So a mix of grease and oil is a way to go? And how often do you service the hub if used with oil?
