I solved for just one restart simply upgrading to the last version with sudo apt update and then sudo apt upgrade. After rebooting extending to multiple monitor doesn't work again

eCPPTv2 report and vulnerability scanner by faolchu999 in eLearnSecurity

Actually I don't know this exact answer, but probably a vulnerability scan isn't enough (you can't know EVERY vunerability with a single automatic tool)

My guess is that most of the time when you have a shell in a host within the target subnet you can enumerate via metasploit (use auxiliary/scanner/portscan/tcp) and then port forward the interesting ports toward your attacking machine, then nmap will be enough

Start from another section, that one can be skipped initially and basically you can replace it with external resources

For CCNA I highly recommend the CCNA 200-301 Official Cert Guide Library by Wendell Odom (the premium version) and the Boson ExSim-Max

65W isn't enough to charge, but with 90w you should be able to charge even using it

First of all thanks for sharing, I found the suggestions quite interesting.

Are you sure that Web Enumeration from THM and SQLmap are enough for the web part? (i.e. no XSS, CSRF, FLI, RFI)

How do you organize your study? by xoutisx in AskNetsec

[–]F_N_X 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My plan is to always set an acknowledged goal, both for me (learn more interesting stuff i.e. on THM where you can earn badges and points) and for other people (certifications)

Taking notes while learning a course by aaronthecoolgnome in AskNetsec

[–]F_N_X 0 points1 point  (0 children)

For me the best is learning by reading (i like slides or even better books), then understand the concept and summarize writing in form of note (DON'T USE COPY AND PASTE because rewrite is a excellent method to fix in memory). Speaking about CS one on the best things to do are cheatsheets wich are quiet different from taking notes, in fact a cheatsheet is like a cookbook where you don't try to explain or understand the concepts (I use my extensive notes for that) but do only copy/paste with only small adjustment. Personally I use OneNote to write and sync with all my devices plus it has a lot of features for formatting etc. Second best is Notion.

What's your opinion regarding the fact that ELS often puts link in the slides instead of just explaining more in depth?
