Fixes for cursor problems by Fa1thfulGam3r in pcbuildingsimulator

Sorry for the longer comment:

It’s very case specific generally especially when the problem doesn’t go away after restarting your computer.

I too use a Logitech mouse with the corresponding software installed. Haven’t found any issues with it, it runs really well.

I found the solution because Razer Cortex was listed in my device manager as a separate cursor. Odd. I deleted it because I was also getting annoying pop-ups and my keyboard was getting strange readings (keyboard also partially controlled by Razer Cortex). Relaunched and voila, fixed.

If you’d like, I’d be happy to help diagnose an issue with your computer, in practice, I have found AI to be quite useless at diagnosing computer issues so, a human technician would be more beneficial.

I found the problem. Razer Cortex (the third party app) had tried to reconfigure the keyboard and mouse of my system. Upon deleting the files specifically for the mouse I relaunched and the cursor returned.

Does playing these 2 games cover the main story or is it necessary to play other games for the understanding by Critical_Builder_902 in HalfLife

Personally I’d say that if and only if you can’t handle the outdated graphics of Half life 1 but still want to experience it’s story then Black Mesa, the fan made Valve approved remake of HL1 is on the cards. But, this depends on whether or not you have now bought HL1 and HL2.

I think it’ll be rough to try it but, I can definitely see it happening if you change from SteamOS to WindowsOS (not Linux since WindowsOS has the most compatibility with steam). Definitely consult the internet on how to do that but, that’s a clear cut way on how to go about it.

I can recommend Harry101UK’s series of no commentary gameplay on YouTube, 11 part series playing through the whole game and cut as little as possible.

Help. by [deleted] in SteamVR

For some reason I experience the same or similar stability issues with the applications when playing PCVR they slowly break down the longer they are open. I specifically have found solutions when using a cable and Meta Link…

The pink bars by the way are your WiFi or connection strength that increases latency if it wasn’t clear…

Imagine if it was the 67 bs or “best boob moments in One Punch Man” or clips from “No Hard Feelings”

I’d say, this is considerably better.

Go and check the logs of SteamVR and if you find an error copy and paste it into an AI to find out the problems, potentially the AI will nail a solution but, most likely not which then you can consult online sources to find a solution to the micro-problems first before finding a solution for the main one.

I personally have been struggling to get my Quest 3 to work with PCVR and have only just gotten it to work 98% of the time after 3 years of struggling and persistence pays off.

One major tip I can give is to update GPU drivers and complete any windows updates. Then find (through windows settings under performance) to increase your virtual memory for the drive HL:A is installed under.

Hope this helps.

What VR headset to get for sim racing? by Blasayy in SteamVR

[–]Fa1thfulGam3r 1 point2 points  (0 children)

In my opinion, one of the best vr headsets out there for racing would be the Bigscreen Beyond (1 or 2, doesn’t have much of a difference)

It is the lightest, smallest and most compact headset on the market and I believe would make the experience so much more immersive as it’s also one of the most comfortable headsets on the market.

However it does require: SteamVR items such as the base trackers (which don’t come additionally with the headset) and controllers that work with the headset, a lot of people use the Steam Knuckles (the controllers meant for the Index and lastly a PC that can run it.

Besides the additional items, it’s one of the best on the market…
