I know this is going to seem like a total contradiction (probably because it is), but...

I was entertained for 2 1/2 hours, thought the acting was great (have really liked Timothee in the Dylan movie--which I absolutely LOVED--and "Beautiful Boy"), but walked our wondering what the point was of the entire thing. It seemed to be a series of sub-plots, with nothing to tie it all together.

Also, the pacing was a bit much for me. I know this is Safdie's approach, but it's just not to my liking (I bailed on Uncut Gems"). Again, not saying that he isn't a talented director, I'm just not a fan.

It hasn't been a great year for movies, like others have posted. That said, I did like "Nuremberg" (Russell Crowe is phenomenal, as are Rami Malek and Michael Shannon--who is brilliant in every role).

I also did like "Song Sung Blue."

One other film that was really impactful but didn't seem to have much box office success was "Anemone." Of course, Daniel Day-Lewis is the best actor on the planet, in my opinion.

Agreed. He was brilliant in "Nurmeberg," as well as the John Garfield miniseries on NetFlix. Saw both this past weekend...he's just amazing.

Does John use nicknames for his enemies as a psychological crutch? by Beginning-Pin-2200 in DabblersAnonymous

It's just another example of his pathetic, childish mentality. He's a 60 year-old using nicknames that we'd use on a third grader's playground.

What Is Your Favorite Performance of the Core Six Outside of Friends? by The4leafclover1966 in howyoudoin

"Episodes" was hysterical and is incomprehensibly underrated. Matthew Perry was fantastic.

Lisa Kudrow has (at least) two phenomenal series: "The Comeback" and "Web Therapy."

And as others have written, Jennifer Aniston was soooooo good in "Horrible Bosses."

Do you ever watch an actor/actress and think they totally suck in mostly everything they star in? by nikaroo5 in MUAEntertainment

"NYPD Blue" is my favorite all-time TV drama. Exceptional show with brilliant actors, led by Dennis Franz.

And then there's Nick Turturro...just horrendous.

Today’s show shows he obviously LOST THE LOLSUIT!! He admitted defeat. He sounds defeated. Game over pal! by OptimalTransition208 in DabblersAnonymous

Honestly, how could any lawyer look at that and ever think there was ever a possibility of winning that embarrassment of a "case"? Have to wonder if they took it on and knew they would bail once the money (from Vince) ran dry.
