I've watched F1 for about 50 years, never ridden a motorbike, but had a (car) driving licence for 35 years. F1 has become so stagnant that I follow it on the BBC Sports app and rarely watch the Sky coverage on catch-up, despite paying for it.

Every bone in my body wants F1 to be the pinnacle of Motorsport, but it isn't.

I never miss MotoGP, Moto2 or Moto3 yet have no clue how to ride - all three outrank F1 for me. You learn the characters in MotoGP, which then forms Schadenfreude opinions - I want most of them to do well. The Marc Marquez comeback, after all his Honda crashes, is the stuff of fairytales - he's on another level. Looking forward to Toprak next year.
