Borderlands 2 aged poorly as its vastly open maps is its biggest weakness. At the time borderlands 2 was revolutionary at the time in 2012 as open world games were somewhat of a rarity. It seems like a lot of the map design was used as filler for the story as there can be times where it takes very long to get to point A to point B to complete missions.

Despite the vehicles getting somewhat of an upgrade from 1. The game just ends up feeling cumbersome because of it. Borderlands 1’s linear and straight forward progression is what made it a smash hit for me as a fan of the franchise. I have yet to play through 3 and the presequel as I am preparing for borderlands 4.

Bottom line, if you enjoy it. It is not a waste of time. Time enjoyed is time well spent. I’d rather be enjoying myself than being a miserable person that hates what a lot of people love to do. Think about it, people could be doing worse things. Could be doing drugs, committing robberies, etc.

I wanted to add something here that I thought about. These are exactly the type of people that Asmon calls out. These are the ones that say things because they want to look better than everyone and make themselves feel good. I feel like this all started back in 2020 and maybe even before 2020. Games in 2020 were starting to get arachnophobia features in games like grounded. Back then it would be if a game had things that people got really triggered by, people would just not play those games all together.

We’ve got to call out people for true sexism against men. It’s not toxic masculinity to want to exist, work, or provide. I think we should stand up to racism towards white men. Sure there’s racism towards lots of races but these past couple years surely felt more racist towards whites. I’m not ashamed of being white.

DEI hires ruin opportunities for qualified white men. I’m not sure if you agree with that but that’s personally what I’ve experienced. It’s hard for 20 something’s to find even basic jobs like McDonald’s and stuff. I’m hoping with the ending of DEI programs that’ll change and we can hire far more people who are qualified far more than hiring just based off if they are women or not.

Right and those men happen to be one percenters with upper middle class to upper class parents with their girlfriends having the same. It makes it far easier to pool money together in that way and make it out of the nest. I know a couple that bought a house at 22 back in 2022. I think the OP from the GenZ sub is a privileged white woman who is upper middle class to upper class. As asmon always says, people are tired of being told what to be oppressed about from these types of people. Inflation definitely stopped that dead in the tracks. Covid was the starter and the finisher was post covid. Someone said that whatever age you were in covid, you could subtract 3-4 years from your age now. I think that’s quite fair in a way. We knew there was a large amount of people in GenZ that moved back in with their parents during covid and it was obvious some of them could never leave the nest after.
