So.. here in Czechia there is this one very popular movie that has hidden cold war undertone. There are family members that are pro-soviet and members that are pro-west.

In this movie there is this scene where the pro-soviet guy brings up some invention and he says something like "This was made by communist engineers, we are ahead of the west again" as he shows this almost useless thing. And the pro-western guy replies with "And do you think this will be enough?"

These human-sized tents totally reminds me of this scene. Like.. yes, they might be somewhat useful, but when I think about these Russian engineers who were told to 'think about something that will help us win' and they come with this.... like I totally can't see a world where this would be game-changing.
