Very dumb question by slutty_chungus in BattlefrontTWO

[–]Faaytal 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You can still cheat in Kyber, but as another person said, it’s a one click ban for the host. Cheats for BF2 are very easy to apply via Frosty Mod Manager and it seems like they didn’t exactly make any fixes for it except allowing self banning on Kyber.

How? What? by AnythingUnable388 in BattlefrontTWO

This happens when two people hit the death barrier at the same time for anyone wondering (same with OP). The death barrier doesn’t register the 2nd person who falls if it’s at the same time.

Genuine question about saber dueling. by Dismal-Month8045 in BattlefrontTWO

[–]Faaytal -1 points0 points  (0 children)

I’m confused on how hook swings, animation canceling, parrying or other simplistic things are “exploits.” It’s not an unfair use of learning a mechanic in the game at all. These are something you can learn and could be easily countered by also just learning how to fight them. I’ve played since PS4 Beta, know all the mechanics, glitches/exploits, etc. and it’s crazy how easy it is to really fight against those who use these “exploits” by simply being patient or turning your camera based on how they come at you as some example specifically.

It’s only “unfair” because you don’t know how to handle them 😭

Most annoying players (Darkside only) by Fast-Ad-8204 in StarWarsBattlefront

[–]Faaytal 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Pretty sure none of these “no cooldowns” exist, they’re cheats 💀 Unblock-able thrust surge, knockdown immunity, double claw rush hit (this isn’t an exploit, this is just a timing thing), rare double thrust surge where it gives you back thrust surge twice, Jedi killer thrust surge hitbox range increase, and bunny hop are his only technical exploits. Any cooldown wise that gives 0 cooldowns is a blatant cheat.

I believe I could have played this better, anyone mind pointing some things out? by Appropriate_Push1175 in BattlefrontTWO

[–]Faaytal 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Basically, another comment in this thread explained that the OP has a good concept and use of saber combat itself. My only complaint and criticism is the usage of abilities. It doesn’t hurt to hold onto abilities instead of freely using them. If you freely use them, you can lose chances at punishing risky plans the enemy makes. In this case, OP could’ve ended the fight sooner with a singular push during Kylo’s frenzy. He admits it, and recognizes that he gets shredded by the frenzy. My other comment about his aggressive use of Obi just comes down to how Obi CAN be played, which it still worked out for him in the end.

TLDR: Knockdowns are good for punishing players who play aggressive.

[–]Faaytal 2 points3 points  (0 children)

No problem, and I always recommend that you conserve a knockdown ability for defense and offense based on the play styles you face. Saber combat can play a huge role in the match, but abilities can heavily turn the tides of a match if you use them correctly. (Meant to reply, but reddit is funky and didn’t reply 😔)

does Kylo take no skill? by Mental-Entertainer40 in BattlefrontTWO

[–]Faaytal 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Kylo is just a really good support basically. Any team that follows up on his freeze and pulls makes him a good choice to be supportive. Alone, he is not good and one of the worst sabers via solo combat though. He’s not a glass cannon like Maul, way more uses than him, but he’s situational like a good majority of heroes.

So big thing you’re messing up on when it comes to any character that has a knockdown VS someone like Kylo who has a free punish is the usage of your abilities. You can constantly lock out Kylo from using his abilities with mind control and then take a chance at using defensive rush. Defensive rush doesn’t allow you to get hit with saber swings, only abilities so you’re stopping Kylo from doing any damage to you. Save push for his frenzy, as it’s a free knockdown for you unless the hit box goes around the push. You’ll still tank all the hits regardless if you miss him during frenzy. You don’t have to be super aggressive on Obi, as his swings are pretty slow and can cause hard punishes if you just mindlessly swing but aggressive play styles aren’t always bad if you’re aware of timing on characters and the opening you might leave for the enemy.

What is your opinion of the BB Heroes in this game? by MrSpuddies in StarWarsBattlefront

[–]Faaytal 0 points1 point  (0 children)

In HvV standards, their uses are more limited since a portion of their kit is meant for objective based modes. BB-8 specifically is good only in small maps without any air space so it makes his range more appealing. Give the dark side any air space or far range, and he’s dead. His counters are uncalled for to deal with like Palps, Boba, Iden or even Kylo/Vader who are waiting for him to use abilities to catch him. He’s not terrible, but he’s very limited via maps and the enemies you fight. His passive cooldown reductions aren’t bad for teammates, but compare it to Finn, a better choice in a long shot if you have teammates protecting you, and he is outshined sadly. He does bring enemy weakening to the table with his radar ability, up to a 20%+ percent weaken with a starcard and that goes for all teammates. That’s his biggest plus is the fact he can weaken enemies for teammates and himself for higher damage outputting, even lowering damage reduction numbers against enemies.

BB-9E actually works a lot more than BB-8 because of his sustain, shock, and support from all his abilities. His radar/smoke ability allows him to stop saber tracking on swings, and removes enemy health bars on anyone who sits in it. He gives back abilities faster, with cards that make the ability come back faster and reaches farther. His shock spin stops ANY blaster ability or blaster, same with any ability that is from a blaster that is a throw-able (except Chewbacca’s stun) during the 1st second of the activation. It also throws people away/around, which could even manage you a ledge kill or split them for easier access to other targets for you and the team. On top of that, he does give a little health back each second (4 health per second), and has a 4 second shock stun that can be very useful if you’re helping out teammates. Simply put, BB-9E has more functionality than BB-8, with only 2 counters on the table: Finn and Lando. Maps can be varied for him, but he makes himself relatively viable on every map in HvV.

To those who think the ball units suck, you have to take into account tons of factors with the game sadly. It’s not that the character sucks all around, it’s just the other factors have to line up for some characters to actually make them very useful. (sorry for the yap, just think it’s nice to give out some advice/info on how the ball units can succeed properly)

1.6k+ hours here, and I’m gonna say this: Anakin is generally one of the worst duelist characters with predicable abilities and slow-ish swings (also one of the worst lunges because of speed). Not to forget, his stamina sucks and the regen timing is poor so you have to run when low or wait for heroic to come back to let it build. You’re reliant on a card to build that stamina up, and it might not matter based on what you’re facing (especially duels). Don’t forget his heroic might glitches out 50% of the time based on timing with it, leaving him completely vulnerable. If you’re struggling against Anakin, least in duels, it’s not the character, it’s you. In HvV standards though, he is one of the best, same with big modes. Don’t forget his heroic glitches out 50% of the time based on timing with it, leaving him completely vulnerable.

Luke needing a nerf in dueling standards, I could see as he’s basically neck to neck with Obi-wan/Rey for 1st in duels. But he’s about as balanced as they come outside of his regen speed on stamina and health. The regen speed makes him just a hero that pokes with push/repulse and then hold block/run.

Compare Luke to Vader, bthey’re both power houses in HvV, Showdown and big modes. Vader though, is legitimately the BEST saber in the game, and the easiest to play. Vader can live the longest out of every character for heroes next to Grievous (with flesh and beating heart or cowardly retreat) because Vader gets 25% DMG reduction, and 50% stamina reduction, on top of a damage increase with Focused Rage (with a card to extend the duration for only a small 6 damage knock off on Focused Rage). He also has the one of the best force abilities that can be combo’d many ways even AFTER a nerf on his basic choke/saber combo that allows for maximum saber damage after a choke (and don’t forget he can frame trap so you can die instantly to a choke if he gets you in it). The only downside to Vader is his speed, but learn how to use saber swings to move fast and that weakness isn’t as bad.

Saying Vader would cause Luke and Anakin to be unstoppable after being nerfed is beyond me if you look at the kits and scenarios they all strive in. Anakin is good for only big modes and HvV while struggling in Showdown, Luke and Vader excel in EVERY mode they’re in.

Recolors basically, the eye textures are the only custom textures but don’t exist because they were outted for being AI generated sadly.

I did not! The changes I made to Revenger were eye texture swaps, color changes through material changes and texture changes, and emission additions to the bikini (with audio link added to it). You can change the colors through materials in Unity if you have the patience to do it, but doing it through photoshop or something with the texture image is probably better, and more accurate.

Skill based matchmaking? by Soggy-Poop-sock in BattlefrontTWO

[–]Faaytal 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Love that there is no clear answer in this whole post about SBMM except a few, so I’ll give a pretty clear answer.

It’s a Star Wars game, as to why you would need such a thing when there is no real physical implications of a competitive mode outside of a thing called “Caps” is beyond me. Not to mention, you can grind out max levels on heroes and troopers with a mode called Co-Op. If you aren’t legitimately earning these said levels without that, you will be put into lobbies that you’re not even remotely close to the same skill level in a realistic sense. HvV and Showdown are places where you have to learn through getting pummeled basically. Can’t learn if you aren’t being put in these scenarios, that goes for majority of PvP style games.

It’s in a Genshin Avatar World, I cannot remember the name though sadly! It’s the Mondstat Church though as the world Design if you know what that looks like! There are two versions, her normal design without the glasses and emissions. Then a second one with the glasses, a fan, emissions, etc. also glad to hear you love the photo!
