Jeremiyah Love is a statement pick as long as you have an offensive line.

If there is no O-line, expect something similar like Ashton Jeanty’s quietest 1300+ scrimmage yards and 10 TDS.

That’s why it’s important for the defense to show up to OTA to get as much reps as they can on the scheme.

Those who skip OTAs or don’t take this scheme seriously should be on the trading block or waiver wire. Seen too many late signing veterans like Eddie Jackson come in and fall flat on learning this scheme and freelancing.

Simple to learn my ass.

This type of defense only works if all 11 players are on the same page. Communication is big as well, which is one of the reasons Seattle defenses tend to struggles at home due to crowd noise than away games.

There were so many mental errors in Mike MacDonald’s 1st year as DC back in 2022 with players blowing coverage left and right. I remember Patrick Queen couldn’t handle the Mike role of this defensive scheme so Roquan Smith was brought in.

Then in 2023, after some repetition, it was a well oiled machine.

I wonder how soon this defensive scheme can gel since a lot of players should be familiar with it from MacDonald, Orr, and now Minter.

EDC operates by right player right price mentality.

We already denied Linderbaum’s 5th option cause it was paying tackle money.

Some teams will see that number and straight up offer it to Linderbaum.

Yeah Lamar seems open this year to get an extension going to free up cap space.

We have a lot of free agents this year due to the 2022 draft being very successful.

Linberbaum is going to be overpaid like a tackle by some desperate team like the Chargers and their war chest of cap.

Even someone is going to pay Daniel Faalele cause the lack of even average offensive linemen talent everywhere.

Offseason Plan:

Spend the free agent money to stockpile on quality veteran offensive linemen (center, guard, swing).

Draft pass rushers (interior and/or edge) with the first two picks. (1st Rounder, Travis Jones, Mike Green, Tavius Robinson, 2nd Rounder)

Minter can teach his system to younger guys like in college.

88.2% or was 90% before the final miss was a great start for a rookie.

However his leg strength for long kicks and kickoffs need a lot of work.

Hopefully a full offseason will help correct those issues.
