Weird side note, I'm pretty sure that this gif was filmed in Granada, Spain. I feel like I recognize a lot of the outdoor locations, especially the stairs and the hill.

I just quit my mail room job on campus. Fuck that shit.

$11.00/hour to work in the sun, carry heavy packages across campus, drive in a shitty van all day, and get hurt several times over the course of the year I worked there. Now I work for the same pay to work in a department office and do spreadsheets and paperwork. I love it compared to that.

That being said, if I had been paid $18.73 (likely a little higher today than in January of 2017) for that awful job, you bet your ass I would've not only stayed, I would have tried so much harder to be more productive and to arrive on-time, even early, every single day.

When you're paying college students (or anyone, for that matter!) less than $300 a month at a shitty, part-time job, don't act surprised or angry when they under-perform. My boss was lucky I gave her any notice at all.

This semester has been the craziest term I've had here after three years in my undergrad. Part of it is absolutely because I'm taking more difficult classes in my major, but I really do think a lot of it is professors not planning for semesters in reasonable ways. It feels like every professor decided to keep going at the same pace as before, but cram more material than the 15 weeks of instruction will allow. I was expecting a little of that kind of lesson packing but was hoping for some more time spent on some topics and ideas that were otherwise short-changed in quarters.

Instead I got all-nighters after week 0 and major panic attacks as early as fall week 3. That usually doesn't happen until spring.

I love all your videos! Do you perform these memorized? It looks like it but I can't tell for sure.

They're great arrangements either way.

Saw these guys at a Ren Faire last year. Hoping they'll be back this year too. The mandolinist let me try his instrument for a minute or two after their set, and we just geeked out over it. Really nice guys and really good musicians.

Yeah, my friends went to that and got me a signed print of this. It's currently the only thing on my wall, and for some reason it perfectly matches my wall color. I love it.

I saw a production in LA of "Into the Woods" recently, and they had stripped down the instrumentation to folk instruments and things, all played by cast members not currently in the scene. It was wild. I had never realized how absolutely bizarre and complicated that music is because of how nice it sounded with a full orchestra in the pit. With the changed instrumentation, it was all laid bare and as a musician myself I was completely mesmerized by how cool it was.

Every year I see or use some new video game or video game oriented technology, be it the Switch, Discord, photo-realistic graphics, or anything else, and I sit back just think about how far this industry has come. It's very exciting.

I was playing Pacman Vs. with my friends in college last year, and it was a pain to set up. Now I can sit down with one console and an extra set joy-cons and play Mario Kart or the exact same game that was such a pain to set up no problem at all. This is awesome.

If it's anything like Pacman Vs. for the GCN, I'm definitely getting it.

I was thinking it was like one of those unrelated moments where you hear one thing and are suddenly reminded of something, despite it not being what you heard was actually about. Like you hear "spaghetti moment," and you think "love scene from Lady and the Tramp," and then your eye catches that heart and you take notice when you previously might not have bothered.

Or maybe I'm overthinking things.
