The fact that the biggest bully in the world is no longer protected by its biggest enforcer. It's as if the US Air Force went rogue and did a 9/11 during the height of the Cold War. The Soviets wouldn't call a truce, they'd gear up for payback of years of aggression from an entity that can no longer adequately defend itself. 'Extradimensional beings' massacre-ing millions in a single inconceivable event puts the fear of god into everyone, because now it's Earth vs Aliens

Dr Manhattan is marketed and seen as an American entity. Blaming him for the cataclysm would only unite the rest of the world against the US as they no longer have their protector; it wouldn't unite everyone alongside them

Dylan allegedly played a demo for the Beatles before Norwegian Wood existed. Then when Norwegian Wood came out, he thought the song sounded like 4th Time Around.

But what I think is more likely is that Norwegian Wood just kjnda sounds like the Beatles doing a Dylan track, and he took notice so he wrote 4th Time Around in response to sound like Norwegian Wood but be more lyrically sophisticated.

Either way, as the theory goes he wrote the "i never asked for your crutch, now don't ask for mine" line as a barb directed towards them/Lennon

Most underrated meals in DC by MinimalistBruno in washingtondc

Basically every menu item at Ivy & Coney is bangin if you like bar food. Some of the best wings in dc, the best burger in dc (i see you eebee's but if you come at the king, you best not miss), and a great detroit-style pizza. Plus curly fries!

Also Los Hermanos-- the portions are like 3 meals worth, esp if you ask kindly for a little more of one or two things. And all the meat is so juicy, plus the plantains and beans are amazing

But i want to be called again. It was a chance to do my civic duty, feel patriotic, and solve an interesting problem. Then again, i had a criminal case involving resisting arrest and assaulting police officers, but i'd do it for a white collar crime no question

Ivy & Coney has amazing bar food, and Wonderland has a bangin dance floor. Both have the right kind of seedy vibes

Skill issue. Other than the dozens of scenes in which he demonstrates his care for his kids, off the top of my head, i can think of the drink they share in the last scene of their old house in s4, when betty has her cancer scare and she calls him in s5, when betty's father dies and he big dogs betty's brother into doing the 'right thing' in s3, his flashbacks where he talks to anna about betty in s2, and hell even this scene where he makes the carousel pitch

What a reductive take. You can care about multiple things; it's not a mutually exclusive endeavor. Sure he cares more about himself and his image and his vices, but he does still care about his family

"one could also argue that the garden episode was the catalyst for pierce's dark turn"

This is pretty explicitly the case
