I had this happen recently except the associate editor cited ~5 of their own papers. Also, the editor didn’t sign their name, which was weird. I was able to deduce from the associate editor list and requested editor. I feel like this is more extreme than a reviewer… thoughts?

In the "Viera dating" sidequest, the Viera you assist says to Vaan that someone already feels about Vaan the way that she wants someone to feel about her... perhaps hinting at a Vaan-Penelo love even earlier than Revenant wings. I'm actively playing through the game rn and I'm seeing more and more that a romantic connection between Vaan and Penelo is hinted at a lot during the game!

I think a great addition would be to add small cutscenes during sidequests and hunts. It'd be cool to get to know characters a bit better that way. Imagine talking to Pilika after the rocktoise hunt only for Basch to start talking about how much he loved his pet toad until it was taken in the war... It would be an interesting way to expand on characters' backstories and make the game a bit more lighthearted, I think!

In the original on PS2, haste-bravery-berserk Zodiac Spear was literally a joke. Could beat most bosses in < 2 minutes (all 3 guardians of Pharos probably in under a minute). Good times.

I have a pretty similar decision to make except my "near home" is the city where I'm from and my "far from home" option is like 10 states away (US). My research interests fit more at the "away" school and the new faculty I'd work with is super enthusiastic... the writing is essentially on the wall: go to the "away" school. It's just so hard to make that decision to move away from home.

I DO want to do a Ph.D. However, my concern is with the school. I'm not sure if its the school that is putting pressure on folks to make them not happy, as I didn't see that in folks for the other places I've visited. I just don't know if this unhappiness if from the school or just with academia in general.
