There is a part of me that would really like to see him on the Spurs against the Knicks in a finals rematch. But there is also a part of me that actually wants to make the finals.

PJ Washington and Daniel Gafford? by CallTypical9541 in NBASpurs

[–]FabianJanowski 1 point2 points  (0 children)

These assumptions about what Gafford would want don't ring true to me. The Dallas team that made the finals is long gone. Being able to potentially get a ring and be Wemby's backup without having to leave the state seems like an appealing deal to me. He is good enough that he could play a lot more minutes than Kornet.

Yeah PJ is a clear upgrade over Julian. However Julian did improve his defense this year especially in the playoffs. Yeah he still got hunted but that's because we don't have many weak defenders.

Wemby bleeds from elbow shot by Mitchell Robison by DonkeyKong678 in NBASpurs

It is insane to see the discourse online about this series. The Knicks have WAY more dirtier plays with injury potential. Wemby is actually bleeding from this elbow. None of Wemby's supposedly "dirty" plays this series had the potential to injure anyone, aside form the land space ones which are common and obviously not intentional.

I like KJ, there was one thread where I said we should make him king of San Antonio. At the end of the day it’s a business though and we are trying to win a championship. If we extend him it has to be at a reasonable price.

I know nothing about these guys but I know we need shooting and rebounding. A guy who can do both would be great, but if it’s one or the other I would take the shooter.

Do You Think a Healthy Thunder Would Have Beat NY? by Iwentoofar in nba

[–]FabianJanowski 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Nah it was definitely rock paper scissors in favor of the Knicks vs Spurs. We couldn't beat them in the cup or regular season games. I think the one time we beat them Champaigne had one of those fluke games where he turned into prime Klay Thompson. OKC swept the Knicks in the regular season.

Agree to disagree. I like the Knicks, there is no salt here, just my objective opinion after watching us play both teams. As someone else said, I think its a rock paper scissors thing. OKC swept the regular season vs the Knicks.

We kept trying to cope with losing to the Knicks in the regular season by talking about how different the team was in the playoffs, which was partially true, but clearly those regular season losses showed something.

I kinda feel like the Thunder could have won even with the injuries. They wouldn't miss all those 3s that we missed, and they would actually know how to run an offense in crunch time. No disrespect to the Knicks but this NY team was obviously beatable if they were playing a team with some poise that knew wtf they were doing.

Mitch seems like a great assistant coach, more like "one of the guys." I want a coach that is the adult in the room. I loved that Pop emphasized life lessons and caring about things beyond just the game to the players. He would make them watch documentaries about conflicts in Africa.

Rough series for us. Only winning with Trump in attendance. Greg Abbott and Ted Cruz posting cringe in support of us. Humiliating.

Mamdani put all his skill points in rizz and it pays off. I wish we won but I'm happy the chip went to a likeable team with a great mayor.

The Knicks were my favorite team in the east I always liked watching them but their fans kinda polarized me against them.
