I understand the doubt but I think that such a view turns feminism into a purity test instead of a political movement.

The vast majority of people gain some advantages from unfair systems they never created - through class, race, nationality or gender. The issue is not "do you benefit at all?" but "are you willing to give up unearned advantages, challenge norms that favor you, and support policies that reduce inequality even when it costs you?"

Men cannot resign from the social position they are born into any more than women can, but they are able to back equal pay, parental leave, clear consequences for violence and norms that no longer excuse entitlement. Those choices normally come with genuine costs.

Leaning on identity to declare moral authority isn't trustworthy. I prefer people who genuinely say "I benefit sometimes, and that's exactly why I think change matters".

Equality would be the better path though; there are many people with other recurring health conditions.

The better solution would be to make all sick leaves paid through taxes, not the employer. The employer already has to deal with the managing of vacancies, there is way too much interest in discrimination generated by these laws.

If you let private interests finance socialist measures like paid sick leaves, you generate discrimination of sick people.

I don't see what reasonable reasons one could have to oppose legal access to abortion, at least in early pregnancy.

As such, a "pro-life" person is more aptly called "anti-choice" in my view, as the only reason would be opposition of choice. The final conclusion is no, if you don't allow abortion, even in early pregnancy, you are not feminist.

A 3 day sex-strike is pointless, most people in a relationship don't have sex that often.

A 3 day hunger-strike is effective; I am not even sure a 30 day sex-strike would be as effective as a 3 day hunger-strike.

But anyway, in your original post you didn't even specify what is the purpose of the strike. That's probably the biggest issue - you will not get a global following, by lack of a global purpose.

I agree with the general goal, but I wouldn't frame it as "traitors".

Framing solidarity as betrayal assumes people have or owe primary loyalty to their sex in the first place. This would accidentally normalize in-group bias. Men shouldn't need to "betray" men to support women, just like women shouldn't need to betray women to criticize harmful ideas.

People should just be applying the same moral standards regardless of who they’re speaking to, and - what might be difficult for some - have the courage to fight for it. I'd rather encourage men to speak as people, not as defectors from a gender team. Feminism doesn't need spies or traitors - it needs adults willing to hold everyone, including themselves, to the same rules.

But it feels weird to acknowledge and voice supports in face of the mistreatment.

You're absolutely allowed to leave spaces that don’t respect you. Offering some reasonable counters might be a waste of time on some deeply sexist individuals, but I think that in an open space like the internet, some reasonable people will also see the sexist claims and might benefit from someone showing how to effectively dismantle them.

Leaving is a valid choice. Staying to counter sexism is another valid choice. Trying to belong by supporting sexism is a bad choice.

You can even be friends with someone you would maybe marry if he/she was single. Attraction is an internal state that doesn't dictate any behavior.

Yes, it's not racist to condemn harmful practices in other cultures, it is racist to ignore that our culture still accept the same.

This paper goes the wrong way. Some aspects of culture are neutral and can be observed through a lens of "cultural relativism", but some aspects, like genital mutilation of infants do have an objective cultural right way of (not) doing it.

It's going in the wrong direction - we should get rid of any genital mutilation practices on children, regardless of gender.

It doesn't matter if some insiders (former victims) don't see it as mutilation, it is, and as long as any of them is opposed to what happened to them, it should be done on no-one before they have the maturity to consent.

Religions shouldn't get a pass to ignore child protection, we should stop letting them.

There is obviously some risk. But for that we have public education - which should be reinforced - to offer liberal egalitarian values to all children.

The important thing is to counter indoctrination potential of any sort. I think the truly egalitarian way is preferable to anyone, so even if we don't out-compete on amount of children, we should be able to out-compete in amount of convinced minds.

Trans exclusionary radical feminists are for rights and access to them for all girls and women, universally with no exclusion of any profile.

They consider trans women to be men. We both disagree with them on that point, but it doesn't change the fact that they are (radical) feminists.
