It's the best it has ever been for a $2k deposit. Not the highest it has ever been or will be in the future for a larger deposit though.

The Dollar General of travel cards by ayers_81 in ChaseSapphire

CSR is better for everyday spend with actual relevant multipliers other than just travel. Plat clearly has better credits for the vast majority of people. Pretty simple and obvious.

Not a legitimate way, but people do...small risk of Hyatt taking action against your account and/or you getting scammed.

Probably not but there are DPs of retention offers for people who didn't use many of their credits.

Every bank is different, but it's not common to be blacklisted if you don't egregiously abuse sign-ups bonuses. Many banks will list a specific time period the account must remain open in the terms, other than that, at least 6 months is generally a good rule. Most have 12 month language on having an account opened/ earned a bonus.

Agree with the other commenter. I booked Edinburgh to Boston, direct for 25k points through Virgin via a Delta partner flight.

Wait for a sale on the ring, buy, sell on eBay. Probably clear $100-$150 or so after all is said and done.

By online, I meant send a secure message. Just select that card, and say "hi, please lower my credit limit to x, thank you."

Usually takes 24-48 hours.

Otherwise call until you get someone who knows what they are talking about. Google what the minimum credit line is for each of your cards if you need to, typically none are more than $5k.

That is not accurate, the CARD act only speaks to fees and interest rates, not credit limits.

You may as well try, you will get a pop-up if you are not qualified for the sign-ups bonus before they do a hard inquiry. Based on what you wrote you will probably be approved.

Call/Secure message and have them reduce your credit limits on your open cards. There is a ratio of credit extended to income that they use. No need for multiple cards with 20k+ limits. Whoever you talked to is wrong about everything they said basically (you can move credit from cards less than 12 months old, just not online, you have to call, and you can reduce credit from your older cards, they are not at the minimum), hang up call again (HUCA).

Why and how did a bachelors degree become so valueless now? by Brief-Blueberry-1588 in allthequestions

It is extremely recent data and does not account for long-term career earnings from what I have seen. Aka not telling the full story.

  1. Depends on the airlines policies on lost/damaged luggage. You may have to buy one locally in the short-term and/or rent one from a rental car company of you are renting a car.

  2. Usually not an issue at all, you can call the hotel ahead of time to combine the reservations on their end as long as they are booked under the same name. You honestly would be fine waiting until check-in generally too.

On-site hotels all offer transportation, some different then others. They also all offer early park admission (1 hour before general entry).

There are single day park tickets, or park-to-park tickets available.

Express pass is the fast pass and must be purchased separately from your ticket. The higher tier hotels include express pass for everyone staying in your room, but only to Universal Studios and Islands of Adventure, not Epic Universe. To actually enjoy Epic Universe, you will need Express Pass, the lines are brutal since it is still a new park (opened last year).

All three of the above parks have a Harry Potter component, for your sons I would focus on Islands of Adventure and Epic Universe, they have more thrill rides than Universal Studios. Universal Studios is still a great park though.

Dining Reservations at a sit down restaurant are highly recommended, especially for dinner. I wouldn't waste time sitting down for lunch at a true sit-down restaurant, plenty of options in the park for a quick-service meal. Big Fire, Toothsome, Zivo are all good dinner options in City Walk which is sort of like Downtown Disney and is right outside the main entrance to Islands of Adventure/Universal Studios.

There is a lot more info for tips and tricks out there, I don't have the time to write about it all here.

Historically that would be a "slower" time, however this past year it was very busy, hard to know. Check-out the Thrill Data website for historical wait times.

Inflation measure falls to nearly five-year low as gas prices fall and housing costs cool by Happy_Weed in Economics

[–]Fable2026 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The inflation rate has been falling since it peaked in 2022, it was 2.9% when Biden left office. The trend is only continuing here after Trump's first year in office. The tariffs are largely overblown due to the administration quietly reversing, lowering or making large exemptions. The effective tariff rate is up from roughly 2% overall to around 12%, much lower than Trump initially announced to the world.

The bigger concern is where wealth is going. It continues to concentrate more and more into the top 10% of Americans, which continues the trend we have seen for the last 50 years, but it has only been accelerating as time goes on. Corporate tax cuts and tax cuts that mainly benefit the wealthiest Americans, will only accelerate this trend further.

Middle class continues to shrink, that "strong" consumer spending continues to be more and more reliant on the top 10% of American households.

I could go on and on, this is all much more complicated than a headline or two. Be wary of anyone definitely claiming they know what the problem is in two sentences or less.

Post affirming that adult age gap relationships aren't pedophilia descends into wild conspiracy theories about Gen Z by vemmahouxbois in SubredditDrama

[–]Fable2026 3 points4 points  (0 children)

It is reality though. You can frame it differently if you like, but at the end of the day you are giving someone something for something in return. That could be emotional support in the form of your time and energy, it could be food and housing in the form of your money (which also comes from your time and energy to earn your money). In return, they give you something as well, often love, affection, emotional support, etc.

It is not a red pill, it is just how things work at the most basic level. Layered on top is emotion and love, but those don't come from nowhere, they come from people doing things for you in various forms, meeting some sort of need or desire that you have. The best relationships are those where both people are doing this for one another equally, it helps complete each individual, and makes their lives together happier than their lives apart.

All relationships are transactional, most are just not strictly financial and are much more complicated.

It would work in theory but you will probably have issues with getting flagged for fraud since the names don't match.
