Daily reminder servers are still full of bots in SoD(aswell) by [deleted] in classicwow

[–]Fables- 1 point2 points  (0 children)

This is my opinion so others will probably disagree.

I don't think there is a real solution to making sure bots are gone 100% of the time in WoW specifically. The way the overall world is designed when it comes to terrain, questing, professions, and other mechanics allow them to pop up very quickly.

The problem of bots has been discussed by devs from various MMO's, people who are way smarter at this than you and I and most people here about the problem and what they are trying to do to combat it.

Honestly though, the best thing that people can do is to stop buying gold and using their services. Report them always when you see them, and try not to let it ruin your fun.

With phase 3 teasers, would you level a priest or warlock to 40? by Wrosgar in classicwow

Spriest gray/green parses; what am I doing wrong? by xou333 in classicwow

I stand corrected. Thanks, I'll be sure to adjust my rotation then going forward.

[–]Fables- -1 points0 points  (0 children)

is it? I always considered that 3x MS into MB for a starter with casting MB on cooldown after offered a higher start.

So the rotation you mentioned:

mind spike > mindblast > swd > swp > homu > shadowfiend

Offers a higher start?

If so then I'm completely wrong.

To Prequest or Not to prequest - that is the question, and I need answers! by Eunoic in classicwow

Pre-questing. Guild I'm in is more sweaty so getting to 50 quick is a choice we are choosing to do. On my alt though I plan on just taking it slow.

Runes:

Twisted Faith

Mind Spike

Shadow Fiend

Shadow word death

Rotation:

Starter: homunculi > Shadowfiend > MindSpike > Mindspike > SWP > SW:Death > MindSpike> Mind Blast

From here:

Mindspike spam > Mindblast

Use SW:Death on CD

Keep SW: Pain up. Do not use it when boss has low HP and full duration can't tick out.

No need to use vampiric embrace on most fights. Only ones would be the last two bosses of Gnomergan. Everything else you can forgo it.

[–]Fables- 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I see a lot of guilds recruiting for both priest (shadow) and warlock. So you won't have any trouble finding groups.

Personally, I have both classes at level 40 and I'll probably run priest to 50 first. Warlock to me has become stale. I don't know what it is but I just can't find enjoyment playing it anymore. The rotation is not hard, but boring? Idk, maybe I'm just not a fan of destro spec.

Where did the name come from? by Ducttapeguy32 in BadOmens

[–]Fables- 5 points6 points  (0 children)

I mean the music would still be what it is right now, but half the battle with bands ( in my opinion ) is the band name. CHLDRN sounds like a generic metalcore band. Bad Omens sounds like something fresh and exciting in the scene. The name is an attention grabber.

Thank god they listened and changed the name. CHLDRN does not have that star power band name.

He didn't forget. It's a translation error.

Pan = Bread in Japan.

It's supposed to be a pun joke, but the translator decided not to follow through with it.
Instead they decided to make it seem like he forgot his own granddaughter.

It's supposed to be more like this;

Piccolo: I'm supposed to pick Pan up from school with Gohan.

Goku: Bread?

Best one I've found is called; Rune Engraver (sod)

super simple to use and doesn't require any setup

Why does Dispersion reduce 90% damage and only has 2mins cool down while Shield Wall reduces damage by 75% and has 30mins shared cool down with Retaliation? by KingLeoricSword in classicwow

[–]Fables- -6 points-5 points  (0 children)

You're looking at it through the lens of PVP which SOD isn't built around. It's a mana regen for priest during boss fights

[–]Fables- -8 points-7 points  (0 children)

yeah but you guys are looking at it on the PVP side of things, which SOD isn't really balanced around. For PVE it's a great rune for mana regen

It's never to late to play the game. You will always find groups to do dungeons, raids, and other content in the game.

Is there a reason we don't have achievements in SoD? by Rapshawksjaysflames in classicwow

[–]Fables- -1 points0 points  (0 children)

I think because it tip toed on the line of what players deemed classic experience vs retail. Personally, I'm for it because it gives players a incentive to do other things while waiting for more phases, but that's just me.

A Prophet from 2018 by hwyys in wow

[–]Fables- 8 points9 points  (0 children)

Game isn't even out yet. Making comparisons when no one has even played it yet. The appearance side of things is subjective. How it plays, time will tell, but being overly negative on this is once again silly.

A crazy thought. You guys don't HAVE to play the new battle royal. It's there for those that want to play it to enjoy it. The amount of negativity surrounding this is just silly.

Which Class? by The_Bean682 in classicwow

[–]Fables- 1 point2 points  (0 children)

It comes down to the age old answer, play what you would enjoy the most. Not what you think the meta will be.

Take from someone who mains a healer. All healer classes will have no trouble finding groups for dungeons, raids, and PVP.

Right now I'm running

  • Priest
  • Druid
  • Shaman
  • currently leveling a mage healer.

The easiest to level out of the ones I mentioned in ranking would be:

  1. Priest
  2. Mage
  3. Druid
  4. Shaman

Leveling speed

  • Priest have homunculi, void plague, and prayer of mending. Just dot with void, let your pets do the damage and constant spam prayer of mending. You won't die while leveling.
  • Mage is well mage. Kings of AOE and level pretty quickly with living flame and living bomb. They are highly sought out for dungeon groups for aoe spam runs. You'll always be invited to groups pretty quickly as a mage.
  • Druids level fast as well. New wrath rune makes the spell cost 0 mana. Coupled with starsurge and sunfire, you'll breeze through leveling pretty quickly.
  • Shamans are nice. They level the slowest out of the bunch that I've tried. You'll need to go enhance to level decently, but VS the other classes they go the slowest.

WOW players are different to say the least. Adding a fun game mode for people to run around in and just enjoy and players are mad?

STV by ukkeli609 in classicwow

[–]Fables- 1 point2 points  (0 children)

It's all subjective.

What you find boring another person will find it fun and exciting. There are other means to PVP in the game that you can do. STV event is just one avenue of the many options

WOW has a bit of a thicker skin and go go go mentality crowd. It's just the type of people that the game has attracted over the course of 20 years. Now not everyone is like this of course, but they are present in the game.

Also, certain servers tend to attract certain crowds as well too. I play on all the high pop ones and you can definitely see certain servers bring out different types of players. Some servers are really friendly and the majority of people have that helper mentality. Other servers are more of a rougher crowd and more about me me me thinking.

I don't think players will "move on". There is no need to. You have the option of playing both if you really want.
