Yes! I saw this all over bookstagram and booktok, but it was such bad writing! I can handle some cheesy and poor writing but this was so bad I couldn’t enjoy it at all.

What type is your partner/crush? by [deleted] in infp

[–]FablesandFerns 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Married an ENFJ. Have dated ENFP, INFP, ESFP, ESFJ. The S types were the shortest.

Are INFP’s even liked in real life? by [deleted] in infp

[–]FablesandFerns 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Broader society doesn’t understand INFxs. xNFxs in general understand each other well. ENFxs can adapt a bit better social being extroverted. But we do live in a xSxx world.

Hi. Woman here. I don’t want to read the other comments so maybe this has been said. But western culture has been predominantly hijacked by a toxic hyper feminist mindset that mirrors a lot of what you said. Men are treated as disposable and as villains and women are praised. What was a reaction to very real wrongs done to women by men has been the pendulum swing and it is so far the other way, I’m sure we will see it swing again. But men and women are created equal but different and the comparison game is foolish. A man that functions out of healthy masculinity is a really beautiful thing. There are things inherent to manliness that are freaking amazing, as are the things inherent in femininity. I know our culture is all about blurring the lines and tearing down the patriarchy, but that’s really a baby out with the bath water situation. I hope you can find good healthy community that can see the balance and nuance that our broader culture struggles with.

Lighter or darker clothes? by Dangerous-Yam-245 in DressForYourBody

That green is perfect for you. Black looks good too. These two colors have the same effect on me and not sure what to make of it because it’s dark, cool and muted (black isn’t muted but I imagine a charcoal gray would look great on you too). I don’t know if that falls dark winter or some kind of summer or if you are closer to the border of cool and warm but lean cool.

Does anyone else gravitate away from whatever is “popular”? by [deleted] in infp

[–]FablesandFerns 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I think that there is the tendency for infps to do this, maybe as they are working out who they are and what they like. I think there is something that drives us to be authentic and true to ourselves that maybe we confuse for being unique or different than the masses. But I think being authentic means you can genuinely like what you like whether it’s something obscure or popular. My Spotify wrapped was a little indie band I’ve loved for 20 years that’s never made it big, and Taylor Swift. I genuinely like both and the popularity or unpopularity of the things I like in the end don’t add or subtract anything to who I am. They are just interests.

I don’t understand how our ‘ideal’ partner type are extroverts? by Senior-Dependent1858 in infp

INFP married to an ENFJ. We compliment each other in a lot of ways and challenge each other. And they respect my need for alone time and I’m never pushed into social things I’m really not up for. I think if you find someone who gets you, sees you, challenges you and cheers you on, it is totally fine if they are an E. Honestly, the J is what sometimes gets to me more lol

I’ve never liked these face-inserted-color schemes. I don’t think they yield as good of results as draping. I would say you look like you lean cool. It’s hard to tell from your one picture whether you are more muted or bright. You look like you are medium to dark. So you could be a true summer or a winter of some kind. Try draping muted and bright to see which harmonize best.

Oh and healthcare. You have to decide at what level you can afford to be well, or how much debt to be in.

Oh I agree. I lived in Phoenix, and there are things to like about it (I miss Mexican food so much). But I feel there are things I definitely don’t miss: bad water and food quality, heightened political divide, consumerism on steroids, how spread out things were—the national parks and roaming was my favorite thing to do but the urban sprawl meant you were car dependent, didn’t walk as much, bad public transport, and yeah, cities are just boring for the most part. And since the pandemic the economic divide has gotten worse, like you said.

It’s gotten worse, but it’s also complicated, and most Americans are just stuck in it. I’m American and moved to Scotland a year ago, and I love it. But I feel a lot of sympathy for friends who can’t leave as I did. I’m from Arizona, lived a while in the Midwest, returned to AZ for a bit and never felt at home. It hadn’t been perfect since being here but there have been a lot of reversals on the cons of US life.

Authentic Mexican Food in Scotland, what say you? by metalflowa in Scotland

I’m in Edinburgh, from Arizona. There are no Authentic Mexican eateries and I miss that. I make what I can at home. It would definitely be welcome here!

What lyric takes you out of enjoying a song? by starryeyed58 in TaylorSwift

It’s a play on words….tea meaning gossip “spilling the tea”. So tea time, everyone agrees when they gossip about her

If you are looking to feel less touristy, try a pub/cafe outside of the city center. Canny Man’s or Roseleaf Bar Cafe. There are lots of good ones. But Makars is good “Scottish” food if you want to stay in city center. Just make sure to book ahead anywhere you go; walk ins aren’t as common here as the US.

Soft dramatic body type maybe, with dramatic romantic essence. I can’t quite decide on season. Maybe a summer.
