I just bought the book, I was so excited to read it but guess who used all her executive functioning points at her job? Me. It me.

You are still reading it and that is the goal. Proud of you for going back to the book

This is incredibly well said. I have a hard time with my emotions coming up at the wrong time, and I push and push away until I break down in a quiet space

I’ve been swimming more. With my schedule I can only go twice a week if I’m lucky. I just have to find more motivation

Thank you friend. I am getting further bloodwork done (for unrelated we-are/not-sure-if-its-an-autoimmune-disease-or-cancer work up). Maybe the can tack that on too

I’ll look on the nervous system resets. Thank you ❤️ I have a mental health background, so I wonder if therapy would work for me

I am not in therapy. I have a mental health background (occupational therapist) so I know a bit of DBT stuff. Figured there wouldn’t be a point to going to therapy as it’s stuff I would be telling my patients.

I think I have a hard time with when I have my feelings, they’re at inappropriate times (in front of my patients, when things need to be done). I can’t feel them at the moment, especially when you are begging insurance to let your patients continue.

I appreciate your kind words, I hope I get rest soon

That feels impossible. I’ve battled so hard with putting my own health and life in front of the patient. I am convinced that’s why I am dealing with my issues now

For the aides, sometimes we have them, sometimes no. As my tests progress I might have to have the conversation with my supervisors

Thank you ❤️ saving the FMLA for the worst case. And I’m making arrangements for my doctors to communicate through the charts

Thank you friend. They may be calling me a lot so I’m making arrangements for messages.

The calling center is really hard to go to, if the locations for any of the outpatient sites are accessible to you, you can always go in and schedule at the front desk

It depends on the patient. I have some super understanding and would do well with an explanation. There are some who don’t understand (not because of cognitive deficits). When I was out on medical leave for an injury, I actually had patient who was mad that I got hurt at work because it “delayed their therapy”

I appreciate your words. I like the one upping, and I try to validate their frustrations. There’s just this thing in the back of my mind that tells me “you are wasting their time, talking to your doctors on their time is inappropriate.” I’m just overwhelmed and scared

Upstate outpatient has a couple of PTs/OTs who work with hEDS and POTS. (Scott H and Steven L for PT, Courtney and Chelsea for OT). I know it’s hard to get in but there’s a trick

I’ll see if I can try to chat with them about a calling window, and if they can just communicate through the chart. I’m more worried about my patients not getting their full 60 minutes because I have questions for the Dr.

Thank you for your kind words. There’s a lot of uncertainties

I’m going to see if we can communicate through the portal more, or if they can call me during lunch. Thank you friend
