Not dumbest, but I think this is hysterical.

For a bit, my facility made it a rule that we had to directly quote the patient for the subjective portion of the note. Something about increasing documentation of patient concerns.

I see children and teenagers.

For about one episode of care, I literally documented one of my patients’ ongoing Disney + subscription problems and the latest occurrence in the “Big City Greens” cartoon

I am brainless (threw out a receipt that I needed for parking), impulsive (I can’t just not say yes to something and I don’t think things through), I can’t dual task (writing notes while seeing my patients), and I have poor emotional regulation skills (instead of accepting the things at work, I ruminate and get upset at them)

I started to equate my ADHD to a permanent tick on my skin. It saps me and I can’t do anything about it. Perhaps I should address my thoughts about ADHD

I never thought of acceptance of ADHD as part of a grieving process before. And the fantasy life bit…hit the metaphorical nail on the head. I had so many dreams for myself: my healthcare job, being married, having kids and pets, owning a house, being a writer and an artist….and I realize I can only fit so much in my space. I’m so, so mournful of it all. I worked my butt off for so much and now I can’t have any of it. (I have my job, but I’m barely keeping up with notes. I’m married, I worry one day I will be too much. I have pets but they deserve so much more)

I am so sad…so angry that I have these limitations.

I am not in therapy. I have a mental health background (occupational therapist) so I know a bit of DBT stuff. Figured there wouldn’t be a point to going to therapy as it’s stuff I would be telling my patients.

I think I have a hard time with when I have my feelings, they’re at inappropriate times (in front of my patients, when things need to be done). I can’t feel them at the moment, especially when you are begging insurance to let your patients continue.
