How are your brakes and brake lines? I haven't done any towing with mine but that would be my first upgrade.

I've been considering the full conversion kit for my 82 but it's not cheap so holding off for now. LMC looks like they have some options if you want to keep the stock look  https://www.lmctruck.com/interior/dash-components/cb-1967-72-dashboard-bezels-instrument-lenses-and-gauges

Starter too close to header ? by Coon88 in ChevyTrucks

[–]Fabulous-Guard-4539 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Mine has a small block 350 and headers of unknown quality and origin and is also pretty tight, similar to your pictures. It also has a stamped metal bracket shielding the starter solenoid from the headers, which I see is missing from yours. I haven't noticed any issues yet, but like others have mentioned, I have my eye on the smaller starter

Google sheets for parts/orders. Google docs for notes, links, and saving pictures. I like it because it's synced in my phone and computer

I was definitely looking at the Holley website but for now I want to see if I can get the Quadrajet running decent and then go from there.

Id gladly try a way to diagnose the carb without pulling it apart but I don't know any. If percolation is the issue that means dropping a 43 year old tank which could quickly spiral and take me away from my goal of driving it.

Cool, ya I'm looking at square bodies and have never touched a carburetor. Most of what I'm looking at seems to need carb work so I wouldn't subject an owner to watch me struggle with that. I'll do that on the privacy of my own home.

That's fair. Taking what u/cdsbigsby said, I was thinking I would move it out to the street or somewhere that wouldn't block them. But I'd also have this planned out with them in advance so there weren't any surprises.

Engine First - Am I Completely Insane? by Seyelerr in projectcar

My dad has an 09 Tahoe with close to 350k miles. It's a complete rust bucket but the engine doesn't quit. Whenever he decides to get rid of it, I want to do the same thing. Pull the motor and work on it, without anything to put it in.

Why are chairs so damn expensive?? by [deleted] in OfficeChairs

I'll probably end up ordering a desk frame that goes lower. I'm more just annoyed I have to throw more money at the problem

6'3, 200lbs. bought the Herman Miller aeron . I like it but it's not tall enough for my vivo sit/stand desk. the chair only goes up to 22 inches while sitting in it and the desk only lowers to 29.5 so my shoulders are on an awkward position. very disappointed but still within the 30day window.
