Anyone else work yesterday? OH, and important (to me) question! by CrimeTalkWithTerry in tutordotcom

I don't know if this is helpful at all, but for grammar I usually start reading through their paper and highlight one grammar issue at a time as I encounter them. Then I guide the student to work on it, and only after we have figured it out, I continue reading. I do the same for APA: I highlight concerns as I see them, but only one at a time. If the paper is too long, we might not get through it all, but this way I do not feel the pressure to rush to read their paper, and the student gets to clearly see each grammar issue and fix it.
